Blake reads the message, and he is so confused. Tristan is acting like his old self. He takes the pills out of his bag, and he is debating on what to do. He sees someone walking up and he takes his drink lid off. It is now or never. He goes to take the pills when he hears Mark. He stops and he looks at him. He has tears in his eyes. Mark sits beside him and takes the bottle out of his hand. He puts the pills back in his bag and he makes Blake take a drink of his coke.
Mark then puts the lid back on there and he holds Blake. The two will talk. Mark(M) and Blake(B).
(M) I knew Eli. I went to high school with Eli and Tristan. I was in the same grade as Tristan. I am in college with him now. I remember back then how important you were to Eli. He would not want you to do that. Tristan may have messed up. He will fix it. Gabe would do anything for you too. Can you promise you won't take them?
(B) I promise.
(M) I am going to go back to my car. Tristan and Gabe are just a few minutes out. I will give yall time. Can I take the pills with me?
(B) I promise on Eli's grave I will not take them. I need to hide them in my bag. If Tristan realizes they are gone I will get spanked.
(M) Ok, you put them up at home and take them as prescribed.
(B) I will thank you.
Mark hugs Blake and he gets up and he goes to his car. Blake talks to Eli again.
(B) Thank you for sending me my sign. Please just keep me safe until I get home and then go to Charlie's. I promise I will do better. I love you Eli.
Blake cries a little and he checks life three sixty. Tristan and Gabe are five minutes away. He hides the pills in the bottom of the bag. He picks his phone up and he calls Charlie. Charlie answers on the first ring. Charlie(C) and Blake(B) will talk.
(C) Hey buddy are you ok?
(B) Yes, I lied to you.
(C) Ok.
(B) I came to the cemetery and talked to Eli.
(C) That is fine. Are you heading home?
(B) Tristan and Gabe are almost here. It was a little over a hundred dollars for the uber.
(C) I don't care about the money. We have plenty of that. Are you still coming?
(B) I don't know. Can we wait until next weekend if I want to come?
(C) Yes, that would be better. I will fly and meet you and I will spend the weekend there. You can show me your new apartment. Then you and I can rent a hotel room. We can hang out and go places. I will spend the whole weekend with my baby boy.
(B) Ok.
(C) You promise you will call me if you need anything.
(B) I will.
(C) We will talk about the boarding school this weekend.
(B) Ok, I think I changed my mind. I will let you know.
(C) Ok baby. Will you text me when you make it home?
(B) Yes.
(C) Ok, I love you.
(B) I love you.
Blake hangs the phone up and he calls Tristan. Tristan is nervous and excited. He answers it and he talks with Blake.
(T) Baby, we are fixing to pull in.
(B) I am.
(T) Do not apologize. I will see you in just a minute.
