Two hours. I've been sitting in my room, for two hours.
Why you may ask? Because I spent my energy at four in the morning by fighting a man who turned out to be the teams friend, but not mine.

I have a feeling today is going to hell. I don't know Alex, and I don't plan on knowing him on the first damn day. He's not a threat and that's all that matters. I don't need to be buddy buddy with him

Three knocks on my door snap me out of my agitated thoughts

I get out of bed and walk to my door, opening it and I'm relieved to see its Price

"I have a task for you"
He states

"What's that?"

He slides over to his left, and unexpectedly Alex is standing behind him

Wonderful.

I let out a sigh before I speak, holding in my agitation
"What is it Price"

"You an Alex are going to clean up trash in the demo building. Perhaps you two can get to know eachother"

Alex has a happy smile on his face, looking forward to what Price has in plan. A little to happy if you ask me. Why the fuck is he so kind and jolly

"Fine"
I say defeatedly. Walking out my room closing the door behind me

I continue down the hall and I can hear the both of them following me and I stop in the living room,  turning around to price

"Go ahead, I'll be staying here to watch some football"

I look at the tv to see soccer, confused until I realize that's what they call it

"Alright"
I say blankly, turning around and heading down the hall to reach the base door which I open and walk
out of

Alex follows behind as he catches up to me

"I never got your name"
He asks curiously. He has a slight country accent in his voice to what it seems

I let out a sigh, hoping that I will not have to hear yapping the whole time we work together

"Adira"

"Nice to meet you. Well, technically our original meeting wasn't to great"

"Mhm"
I roll my lips, avoiding conversation to the best of my fucking ability. We walk around the base, almost to the demo building

"Think of me as a familiar face"
He says

Once again, he's talking

"I won't say your behavior wasn't appropriate. Price should've informed you that i wasn't giving a warning for my entrance. I mean no harm, but it seems as if
you do"
He states

I swiftly turn around to him, done with his sweet talking. I quickly take a step closer closing the distance between us, him taking a step back in response

"Familiar face or not i protect my team, Keller. And If you think for one second that i am your friend just because i chose not to put a bullet through your damn head, you're wrong"
I spit out, my brows furrowed as my words move faster than i can think
