Third Person Pov: General Shepherd
Not a thought runs through shepherds care free mind as he opens his door, entering the silent, dark, empty office. He looks out the large windows that go down to the floor, only letting in the moonlight that resides outside. His eyes look over the lit up city and he sighs, turning around around and making his way to his desk, sitting down on the black rolling leather chair and turning on the table lamp that ever so slightly lights up the pen and paper on the top of it, along with his pale skin and dull hazel eyes.
He gets comfortable. Grabbing the pen between his rough hands, even though they should be smooth from all of his work being done for him. Just when the tip of his pen touches the paper, the sound of weight shifting makes his head shoot up.
In the corner of the dark room, sitting in a chair, was an unidentifiable man that awaited him.
Shepherds eyes focus on the figure, The light from the bright moon quickly shines through and onto the man's face.Shepherd is no longer confused. He knows exactly who's in his room.
"John"
Shepherd says bluntly"General"
Captain Price states back"How did you get in here?"
"Mutual friend"
Price says slowly as he motions his head towards the door, indicating it was someone from inside"Hmm..." shepherds voice rumbles "laswell"
His hand slowly slides under the lip of his desk to reach for a mounted gun, but is quickly interrupted as prices eyes shift to his moving hand"Eh eh" Price shoots up from the chair, pulling out a gun that was once hidden in his waist band
"You're better than this captain"
Shepherd says"Hmm... we both were"
Prices quiet voice, rasping out every word he says as he slowly walks towards the front of Shepherds desk"This job is about making sacrifices for the great or good"
"Agreed"
He states back to Shepherd"You got a body count of your own, John-"
Price raises his gun, pointing it directly at him in response
"It'll come back to haunt you..."
Shepherd says as he stares into the eyes of the barrel that has a silencer attachedPrice flicks his revolver off safety as he waits for Shepherd to have his last words
"Oh, I am not gonna beg for my life. Not from you, or anybody else, Captain"
Price pauses
"Wouldn't do you any good"Prices statement is quickly followed by the sound of General's lifeless body slumping into his chair
Withdrawing his gun, he places it back beneath his belt, opening the door to the office that once belonged to General shepherd, and closes it behind him as he makes his way out
