I wake up to the sound of all doors being roughly knocked on one by one, along with a voice yelling throughout the hallway. Jesus christ, this shit reminds me of boot camp
"Rise and shine cabrones"
Alejandro shouts. I rub my eyes and stand
out of bed
I open the door and a fist was lifted up, about to land on my door. That would be
Alejandro's fist
"Wak- Good morning Adira. Why are you already awake?"
"Well it just so happens that I'm not used to hearing men yell and calling their teammates bastards at five in the morning"
I smile sarcastically with a hint of annoyance
"Then I guess you're going to know how the mornings are like now won't you?"
He laughs and leans forward. His hands behind his back
"Seems like it"
I raid my eyebrows "what's for breakfast? Or do I have to get screamed at for that too?"
"Soap will cook up some eggs and bacon with a fresh pot of coffee. I recon you'll need it, And for the record Rival, I wasn't calling you
a bastard"
"You're right about tha-"
I'm cut off by a loud thump coming from Ghosts room
Alejandro slowly turns his head to Ghosts door and back to me. He quickly rolls his lips trying not to laugh
"Bloody, fuckin, hell"
I hear a deep raspy voice groaning from ghost in his room
"so you gonna get him a bigger bed? Seems like he can't stay in it"
"I told him to get one Adira, but he hasn't done it. Which I'm afraid, means he's to lazy to buy one"
*Ghosts door swings open*
Me and Alejandro look at him in sync
"Don't"
he points a finger at us with a stare, but makes sure to linger his eyes to mine. He's still not happy to see me, and gladly, I can say the same
"It's time to eat, let's go"
Alejandro motions his hand towards the living room
We get to the living room and I immediately head into the kitchen
"Good morning Adira"
Soap gives me a smile and puts food on the plates for us and fills up cups of coffee.
For the first time, I am not disgusted with my male teammates on a base. I would say they're all decent, not good yet, but decent. . .
Besides Ghost
"That's what an 8 hour trip does to you"
I respond exhaustively
Soap walks out the kitchen with a plate of food
and hands it to me first
"Oh so she gets the special treatment?"
Gaz says sarcastically with an eyebrow raised
"Steamin Jesus' Gaz. She's the first woman on the team"
"alright i see how it is"
Gaz smiles "So If I say I'm a woman I'll get my food first tomorrow?"
"Get outta here Gaz"
Price jokes as he walks in the kitchen laughing, smacking Gaz's arm as he grabs a plate shaking his head
