Shivani AKula Pov:
I was sleeping peacefully, without any disturbances. I had already closed the curtains to ensure a good sleep as it was Saturday and no one was going to disturb me. Although I could sleep for hours, my cell phone rang and disrupted my peace. Initially, I ignored the call, but it kept ringing, so I reluctantly answered it and put it on speaker. It's my habit to answer my phone like this when I'm alone or have just woken up.
" Hey bitch wake up," she said, " why?" I asked annoyingly "We need to meet" "Like now" " yes, I have good news to share I also called Swathi" I looked at the time its still 9'o clock who the fuck wakes up this early on Saturday " Who the hell meets this early in the morning can't u just say it in phone and let me sleep baby" " no, u have to come and it's not early" " I just want to stay at home today" " u always stay at home come on please" "ahhh fine when and where?" " at 11 in Good vibes only cafe" At 11 o'clock, she had to call. At 9 o'clock, I rolled my eyes. " ok " " Don't be late"I just ended the call with her.
I slept for an extra hour before getting up and getting ready for the day. I put on a simple outfit, consisting of blue jeans and a white and black strapped top. After I was ready, I headed to the cafe, but there was heavy traffic which caused me to be late. I finally arrived at 11:30 and called my friends to let them know I had arrived. They told me to come in, so I entered and spotted them sitting near the window. As I was about to sit down, they stopped me." Why are you late? I was dying to tell u the news" said Jyothi " Will u at least let me sit" " come sit "I sat opposite Jyothi, and Swathi was seated to my left." tell us" i said
" First let's order," said Swathi "Okay" I said going through the menu Swathi joined me we were about give an order " are u here for me or food " " come on how can u ask like that it was definitely for food " i said Swathi laughed and Jyothi gave me a are u serious bitch look " okay okay we are here for u but first lets order i am hungry then u can tell us the news" " okay" she said. we ordered three smoothies and starters. " now tell me," said swathi " actually... " She was blushing while trying to complete her sentence. i looked at swathi but we both were confused, I suspected it had to do with her boyfriend.
"are u just going to blush or going to tell us the news" i asked, then she shyly showed me the ring on her finger. It was a beautiful ring with a heart-shaped diamond in the middle. Before I could even say congratulations, Swathi shouted out, "Ahhh!" I quickly put my hand over her mouth to stop her from shouting." don't shout" i said looked around all were looking at us including staff i just mumbled a small sorry while laughing nervously " shhh u are disturbing other" but she ignored me and asked Jyoth" spill the details and Don't you dare u leave any details" she warned Jyothi.
"you guys know we went to Wonderland yesterday he proposed to me their" she said "Aww, I wish that my boyfriend also propose me" swathi said "Congratulations," I said " thank you and u should also find someone" I was genuinely happy for her when her Sidhu proposed to her, and I hope they stay together forever. However, I can't say the same for myself. I find it difficult to trust in love, as only a few people seem to receive it from their loved ones. Even fewer receive it even after being in a relationship. I have always believed that I could find love in a relationship. However, it seems like either I can't reciprocate the love I receive, or the other person can't reciprocate my love.
Even if I do love someone and they love me back, they eventually stop loving me after gettinginto the relationship, or I start to question if they ever truly loved me in the first place. So, I stopped hoping for love. If someone tells me that they love me now, I always feel it's just attraction. And if they really love me, I am not in a position to reciprocate their love. My friends always told me to give it a try, and trust me, I did. But my intuition is correct, and I can't reciprocate their love. So, instead of giving them a chance and hurting them, and then feeling guilty about it, I just stopped accepting the proposal. At least then, they will find someone who can make them happy.
"enough about me tell me when are getting married?" I asked " we didn't think about that we will see in the future" " oh so he booked u for the future ha" asked swathi "Why do you also want to be booked or what should I call Akhil and tell him" "No, its true I wanted him to propose but when he is willing" "ohhhhh" Jyothi and I said at the same time " shut up I will tell Sidhu to marry u tomorrow". Like that our conversation went on.
