Sharath Pov:
I bought a ring for Shivani yesterday. After leaving my friends, I spent the day visiting different stores to search for the perfect ring, and I finally found it. I was relieved when the ring fit her finger because if it didn't, I would have had to cancel my morning meeting to buy another one. Not that I am complaining; I would love to go ring shopping with her again, but I'm proud of myself for getting it right the first time.
In the afternoon, I went to see Madhav to discuss my father's stocks. I need to keep him in check so that he won't say anything to Shivani, and I also need him to handle that woman for me. I made my father's stocks drop and then called him, telling him that if he wanted his stocks back, he needed to listen to me.
After taking care of everything, I went to pick up Shivani. I saw her already waiting for me I couldn't help but smile at her. When I stopped the car near her, I was about to get out and open the door for her, but she did it herself and buckled her seat belt. I just stared at her. "What's wrong?" she asked. I continued to stare at her before starting the car and driving towards the mansion, ignoring her gaze. We reached the mansion in 30 minutes. She unbuckled her seatbelt and was about to open the door, but I held her hand and said, "From now on, you'll let me open and close the car door for you." She raised her eyebrows. "I see, being a gentleman," she teased. "No, being your gentleman. I'm already your fiancé, so I don't need to be a gentleman for others," I replied, looking into her eyes. She lowered her gaze.
"We are getting late," she said as I gazed into her eyes. I thought she was hot when she looked at me in the eye while talking, oh lord I couldn't be more wrong because her bashfulness when she lowered her eyes made her even more alluring. Opening the door for her, I offered my hand and she took it. As we entered, we were greeted by my grandparents, father, and the woman, Anandhi, and Raaghav. All eyes were on Shivani, I saw that the woman was exchanging glances with my father. I smirked at the sight. "Come and sit," my grandfather said. Shivani moved to sit beside me, but my grandmother called her over.
She looked at me for approval, and I smiled at her as she sat beside grandma. "So, what's your name?" grandma asked. "Haven't I told you guys?" I said. "Let my wife speak, young man," grandpa said. "Shivani," she replied. "What do you do?" I rolled my eyes at their question. "I work as an assistant manager."" How did u meet my son, he is not someone whom a manager like u can meet him," that woman asked I immediately looked at father "I ...."shivani looked at me " I am asking u, then why are u looking at him" I am going to kill her and also we didn't decide what to tell.
"She works at Madhav company. I met her there, liked her, and proposed to her. Now she is working as my assistant." "You proposed to her?" That woman looked shocked. "Any problem?" In fact, everyone looked shocked. "Really, you proposed to her. Why didn't you tell us about her before when I asked if you were dating someone?" grandma asked this time. "I never asked her for dating. I directly proposed to marriage. She finally accepted my proposal yesterday, so I brought her home today." "What?" Raghav shouted. I raised my eyebrow at him and he immediately closed his mouth with his hands.
"What proposal? You just said we have to meet a girl. I thought it was dating," the woman inquired. I ignored her. "You never said you proposed to her," grandpa asked. "Why would I let Shivani meet you if I am not interested in marrying her? You are the one who asked me to get married. See, now the girl I want to get married to is right beside you." "If it is about the company, then there are othe-" "Shivani is the only one for me. If I have to get married, I will marry her only. No, I want to marry because of her. I need both the company and Shivani. I am here to introduce her, that's it." There was silence in the hall. Everyone was shocked, including Shivani.
"L-l-let's eat," Anadhi said while stammering. I nodded and went towards Shivani and offered my hand. "Let's go and eat." She nodded and held my hand. I took her to the dinner table, and everyone followed us. I pulled out a chair for Shivani on my left and she sat, thanking me. The elders were sitting opposite, with grandpa at the head, and the younger ones were sitting on the side. The maid was about to serve Shivani, but I stopped her and said, "I will do it" and served her food. She thanked me with a nod. My girl is nervous, but there is no need to be nervous so, to calm her down I just patted her hand and started dinner.
"Shivani, is that the ring my brother proposed to you with?" Anandhi asked, sitting beside Shivani. Shivani just nodded her head. "Can I see it?" She was about to take Shivani's hand, but I stopped her by placing my hand on Shivani's. "Anna, I really want to see," Anandhi sulked, looking at me. "Address her properly, and I will let you see," Anandhi made a thinking face, and Shivani looked at me innocently, asking what with her eyes. I just smiled and looked at her. Meanwhile, Shivani said, "Yes, Vadhina, can I see your ring?" As soon as she said "vadhina," I placed Shivani's hand in Anandhi's hand and smirked, looking at Shivani's shocked reaction.
Anandhi was praising the ring, but Shivani was glaring at me and slightly bent towards me, saying, "Isn't it going overboard?" "Nothing goes overboard with Sharath," I said. Grandma cleared her throat before saying, "Continue eating." After dinner, grandma asked Shivani to stay for some time, but I held her hand and said, "She will stay here when that woman learns to control her tongue" and dragged Shivani out of there because I don't want her hurt Shivani in any way.
