Chapter 11

Elara's pov

The next morning I woke up alone in the room. He must be busy. I thought to myself. I got up and found a pair of leggings and a top on the edge of the bed with a note next to it. I picked up the note and read it.

Morning princess. I have work to do. You can wear this for training if you are up to it. Remember you dont have to do this if you dont want to. Have fun. Love you:)

I smiled at the note and got dressed. I tied my hair into a messy bun and headed downstairs. I walked out the back door and saw a big group of wolves waiting. My heart pounded in my chest and I felt scared. Someone put their hand on my shoulder and I looked to see Bella. "Relax. Remember that your their luna and they will protect you with their lives. They wont hurt you." She said. She gave me a big smile.

I took a deep breath and we walked to the group. Cain said that Bella and Jason took turns training so I would be with on of them whenever we train. "Alright everyone. Meet Elara. Our luna." Bella said and everyone cheered for me. I didnt feel scared or nervous. I actually felt a bit shy. Happy even. "Lets start with todays training. Pair up." Bella said.

Everyone paired up and there was one girl left. I have never trained before so maybe. "Massey. Wanna train with luna?" Bella asked. As if she read my mind. She was about to say yes when a girl that looked way too familiar spoke.

"I would like to train with our luna." The blonde chick from before said. I fought with Shuri for control and kept my head down. Shuri. Calm down. We cant make a scene. I told her.

"She kissed what's ours. She needs to die." Shuri growled.

Just drop it for now. Please. I said and she backed down.

"Ok. Elara this is Abigail. Alright everyone. We wont shuft today. We are going to see how you good you are in human form." Bella said. We all got into a battle stance and Shuri was ready to tell me what to do. I said she could tell me what to do as long as I punch Abigail smack in the face. Which I would love to do.

We started anf Abigail immediately lunged and I went falling to the ground. "What her muscles. If you see them start to tense of flex slighty, she is about to move. We have better sight and speed than her. Use it." Shuri said.

I watched Abigails body and her legs made a small twitch. Another lunge. She jumped and moved out the way, grabbing her arm and slamming her into the ground. She tried to get loose by kicking but I stopped her. She got up and tried again but I caught her and did it again.

She got annoyed and aimed for my throat. She was just about to grabbed my throat but I grabbed her arm, pushed it down, grabbed her other arm twisted it and held it behind her back. She tried using her other hand to break free but I grabbed her other hand and did the same.

"Okay stop." She said and I let her go. She looked at me and growled. I growled back and I saw it as a challenge. She smirked at me amd turned to me. "Your not luna material." She said. Everyone gasped at her words and Bella looked stunned. Shuri was ready to rip her head off. One of the guys that scared me from before ran inside and I smiled.

"Why not?" I asked. Wanting to know the answer. I mean I was a cat in dog lands if I put it that way but I wanted ro know her answer.

"Cause your weak. Your fighting sucks and your below Cain's standards. I dont even know why your here." She said. Below Cain's standards. Did she forget I almost killed her?

"Abigail. Im not someone you should talk down upon. I will rip your throat out." I warned her. Shuri felt proud.

"I challenge you for the title of luna." Abigail said. She looked down at me thinking she was intimidating. Shuri told me that a cat shifter tends to be shorter than normal in their human form but I didnt care. The feisty ones are always the short one right?

"Challenge accepted." I said. Cain then ran out of the house.

"Whats going on here?" He asked. He made no effort to hide his growl. Abigail did seem to care about Cain's presence. We had a stare down. Bella walked to Cain and filled him in on what happened. He looked scared but just sighed. He stood between us and pushed us apart. "Okay. This challenge will take place in two days. According to the rules for this. The two participants have two days to prepare. Everyone get back to training. Elara come with me." Cain growled.

I kept my eyes on Abigail as I followed Cain into the house. I followed Cain to his office and he closed the door behind me. "What were you thinking?" He yelled. I took a step back and realisation hit me. What the hell was I thinking?

I started to panic. Cain hugged me and I hugged him back. "Its going to be okay." He said.

"I think it has something to do with me." Shuri said.

What do you mean? I asked.

"Well. After I came you started to become more brave. The feeling of being free got to yoyr head and you acted on instinct instead of what you usually do." Shuri explains.

"Elara. Listen to me. If you lose, you lose evrything. Your title, your place in the pack and me. She will have to mate with me and I dont want that." Cain said. I laughed at his facial expression when he thought about mating with Abigail.

"I dont plan on loosing." I said. "I have to make a name for myself. I can beat her." I said. Cain sighed when I gave him my cute kitty eyes and tilted my head a little to left. He smiled and kissed me.

"You better win. Then maybe we can have fun to celebrate." He said. Shuri purred and so did I. Cain chuckled. "Thats a cute sound." He said and kissed me again.
