Chapter 25

Cain's pov

Today we take down Blood cove. Everyone got ready to leave and Elara looked worried. I walked over to her and she jumped on me. I caught her and she held on tight. "Promise me you wont get hurt." She said. This is kne of those times where she shows her soft side. A side of her that is so fragile, anything could break it.

"I promise. We will all come back safely." I said. She kissed me and I put her down on her feet. I turned to everyone as they were finishing up. "Alright. We all know what to do. When we come back, we will be victorious."

"Yeah!" They all screamed.

"Our Luna will be safe."

"Yeah!" My pack yelled.

"And Emerald pack will be stronger than ever." I said and they all cheered. One thing I know about my pack is that they loved being praised. The silver star pack had their own talk with Danté and the hunters were waiting at the waterfall.

I gave Elara a kiss before we all left. When we walked towards the waterfall, Danté and his team were in wolf form and ran to blood cove territory. The other half of his team joined us. We ran to the waterfall and when we got there, Llyod was waiting.

"I sent two of my men in already. They said the passage is clear." He said. Ae all went in the dark passage. A few torches were lit. We walked for what felt like forever until we got to a door. Llyod's men were waiting for us.

"Door is sealed shut. We cant get it open." They said. Jaxon walked forwards and broke the hinges. The hunters looked impressed. Jaxon opened the door and we walked in. The dungeon was poorly lit. You could barely see anything. We made our way to the stair case but I noticed the cells were occupied.

There was a vampire and rogues in here. I looked at another cell and saw Anne. I made my way to her cell and everyone waited for me. There was another girl with Anne. "He locked you up?" I wuestioned. She was bruised and bleeding.

"He rejected me. He threw me and my daughter in here saying we werent of any use." She said. I looked at her and she was sad. I knew she was telling the truth but I wasnt going to free her.

"Think of this as your karma for not helping Elara." I growled and we went up the stairs. I opened the door cautiously. No one was around so everyone ran in and spread out. I heard a few gun shots and screams. I made my way to Luke's office but he wasn't there.

I looked around and noticed a door standing open. I was on a floor under the house. I walked into the room and froze at the site. Jaxon walked in to and had the same reaction. There were chains, whips, blades, knives and a closet. "What the fuck." Jaxon said.

"Its a torture room." I said. I noticed dry blood on the wall by the chains. It smelled like Elara's blood. I growled at the thought of what she has gone through. She has been tortured by this man how many times and still managed to be sane.

"Luke isnt here." Jaxon said.

"Where could he have gone?" I whispered. Jaxon went quiet then walked over to me. He handed me a note and I read it.

Thanks for leaving your pack mate. Ill take back what's mine now.

I growled. "HE KNEW!" I yelled. Jaxon and I ran out of the house and onto the front yard. We shifted as we jumped on two wolves that tried to attack us. Snow fell and the wolves froze. "He knew we were coming! He went after Elara!" I said through the mindlink. At thus point everyone last one of us besides the hunters shufted and ran as fast as we could back to the pack. "Im going to kill him." Tyson said. I growled as I ended up running faster than anyone.

When we got to the pack house I froze. The guards were dead on the ground covered in blood. I shifted back and ran into the house. I found clothes and hurriedly put them on. "ELARA!" I called out. No answer. I ran into the living rolm to find my parent and Bella trying to stop their wounds from bleeding. I rushed to them and doctors came running in.

"They took her." Bella choked out. I looked aeound and Aria ran in. She looked at me waiting for me to say something.

"She's gone."

Elara's pov

After they left, Bella and I decided to watch tv. We sat on the sofa and watched Twilight. It was interesting but it would be better if Edwars was a wolf. "Do you think Jaxon will be alright?" Bella asked.

"You like him. Dont you?" I said. She blushed and I laughed. "So Ill take it he doesnt have a mate." I said. Her smile disappeared.

"His mate died. We were fighting off these vampires two years ago. Cain said they beat them and we were safe from vampires. When I saw Jaxon, he kept his head down and stayed silent. He was like that for months. One night I went to comfort him and found that he was drinking. He was sad and we had sex." She said.

I looked at her stunned and surprised. "The secrets that she has been hiding is juicy." Shuri said and I mentally roled my eyes.

"The next morning, he apologized to me saying he shouldn't have done that. We kept it a secret but I always saw him differently. I felt something with him that was stronger than the bond." She said.

I was about to saw something when I heard growling. We got up and saw we were being attacked. "Elara, get back." She said. Fiona and Hudson ran inside and towards us. We were about to run but ten men blocked us. I knew them. They were the guards from Blood cove. How did they get here?

I looked towards Fiona and saw him. "Hello Elara. Lets go home shall we." He said. The men got closer and Bella and her parents fought them. They stabbed Bella in the stomach and gave her parents deep wounds. I was about to shift and attack them when Luke injected me with this blue liquid. My body went numb and I couldn't keep my eyes open. "Sweet dreams." Was the last thing I heard before everything went black and silent.
