Chapter 4

Elara's pov

I opened my eyes only to be blinded by a bright light. I shut my eyes again and waited for my eyes to adjust to the light. I looked aeound and I didnt know where I was. The room was a bright blir colout and the ceiling was white. I heard a beeping sound and looked to see a machine. It had numbers on it. I saw a tube that lead to my arm and to this bag full of some kind of fluid.

I sat uo right and looked around. I was in a hospital. I was weaeing one of the hospital gowns and my arms were bandaged. I felt a grip on my left arm and looked tk find Cain sleeping. He was holding my hand and didnt seem to let go. I pushed my fingers through his soft bkack hair and noticed my left hand was in a cast.

I rubbed small circles on Cain's hand with my thumb and Cain squeezed my hand. Okay. That hurts. I ulled my hand away and Cain woke up. Cain looked at me as I held my arm. "You hurt me." I said. Cain looked at my hand then back at me.

"Im sorry. I didnt mean to." He said. I smiled at him. He smiled and the door opened. I moved closer to Cain thinking it was Alpha Luke. It was a woman in a white coat. Her hair was short and blonde. Her eyes were green and she smiled at me.

"Good to see Luna us awake." She said and did a check up. I didn't really trust herso I moved away. "I wont hurt you. Promise." She said. Last time someonensaid that I got beat up.

Cain took my hand in his and I looked at him. "She is just gonna help. Let her. If she hurts yoy then Ill deal with her." Cain said. The woman looked scared as I let her do what she needed to do.

"What happened?" I asked. Cain explained ro me how I passed out in the car. Then he told me about my injuries and the wolfsbane. I felt rage. So thats why I never got mt wolf. The doctor finished the heck up and had a big smile on her face.

"It seems your body fought the wolfsbane and its almost gone. Your wounds are almost healed too." She said. Then a question came to mind.

"How long was I out?" I asked. I looked at the doctor and at Cain. Cain sighed then told me.

"Two days." He said. I looked for a sign that said this was a joke or something but theybwere both serious. I layed down on the bed. I was away from Luke for two days. This was amazing. I suddenly started to laugh and they looked at me weirdly.

"Im sorry. Its just, I wonder what Luke's face looks like after you help me get away from him." I said. Cain smiled and the doctor left. "Thank you for helping me Cain." I said and gave him a smile.

"I had to help my mate. But I am not finished with that pack yet." He said. His smile disappeared. I took his hand in mine and let out a sigh.

We fell silent after that. The first thought that came to my mind was 'Am I really safe'. It kept repeating in my head. I brought my legs up to my chest and rest my gead on my arms. I started at the wall and felt Cain sit on the bed next to me. "What you thinking about love?" He asked.

I stayed silent before I answered. "Im still scared." I whispered but Cain heard me cause he pulled me into a hug. He kissed my forehead and I felt safe.

"I wont let anhone hurt you. Ever." He said. He made small circles on my arm and it was comforting. "Dr. Grey said you can leave today if you woke up. Ill sign you out when she gets back." Cain whispered in my ear. I smiled. I didnt like being in the hospital. I wanted to leave.

Cain finished signing me out and Dr. Grey brought me some ckean clothes. It was blue leggings and a black hoodie. There was some bew underwear too. I tied my tangled curly hair into a messy bun. I got uo from the bed and almost fell. Cain caught me in his arms. "Careful." Cain said.

"Your body is getting used to you walking again. It will get easier soon. Lets say your legs are still sleeping." Dr. Grey said and I laughed. I knew what she meant. Cain helped me out of the hospital and to his car. He opened the door for me and helped me in. He closed the door and got in the drivers seat. He started the car and drove off.

I looked out the window and was amazed. The forest looked beautiful. I rolled down the window and the smell of nature hit my nose. I leaned in my seat and felt relaxed. "You enjoying youself?" Cain asked. I glanced at him and saw ge was smiling.

"I never left the mansion. This is the first time seeing the outside world." I said. I looked at Cain and he looked shocked. He stayed quiet and I hoped he wasn't angry. The car started to go slower and we pulled up to another mansion. The mansion was painted red and the roof was black. Cain parked his car and got out. He opened the door and heloed me out of the car.

I felt a sharp pain in my side and leaned on Cain. He closed the door and picked me up bridal style. He took me into th house and he walked up a flight of stairs. He opened a door and he walked into a rokm. The room was painted a chestnut brown colour. The bed had red blankets and black and white pillows. There was a tv hanging on the wall and there was a door on both sides. A chest of drawers stood under the tv and a table agaunst the other wall.

Cain placed me on the bed and I sat up right. The bed was soft. I layed down enjoying the comfort. It had Cain's scent all over it. This is his room. Cain sat next to me and placed a kiss on my cheek. "Welcome home my princess."
