Zoro's smell lingered closer and stronger and you easily guessed what he had done.

He was kissing you.

A mortal, kissed by her God.

It felt like a sinner's fantasy.

"Just as I thought. Soft and the same taste as your personality. Sweet" He ushered above your lips.

You felt the heat spread around your face, and your heart's exploding sound was the only thing you could hear.

Zoro could sense your heartbeat pick up and was worried by the fast pace it was going. He pulled away and looked at your face, still hiding behind his mask. He thought you looked so small with it and smiled, as his fondness over you overwhelmed him completely.

"You understand me better than anyone has ever, you didn't fear me and you listen and care about everyone equally." He kept throwing compliments after compliments, he wasn't aware of his bold claims that left you flabbergasted. "I don't know why I feel this way, it's like the rumours of the trapped butterflies in your stomach were true."

"Trapped butterflies ?...do you mean-"

"Love ?" Zoro finished your sentence, whispering the word to your ear. "I am not sure. What I do know is that whatever I say now will backfire on me tomorrow."

You weren't sure where his words were going, piling up one on top of the other.

Your mind didn't get a chance to continue wondering when you felt yourself pushed on the mattress and a shadow looming above you. He held both of your hands on the side of your heads and stared down at you. The mask he had placed on you had slipped off and laid above the cushion.

Your eyes were in a trance and his too. Unconsciously, he moved closer and his fingers slipped with each of yours to gripped your hands tighter.

"You look just like her..." he mumbled quietly as his face rested in the crook of your neck, his lips rested on your skin, tenderly. "Fierce but kind"

His hands then slid from your palms to your elbow, to your shoulders and sneaked to your back, bringing you closer to him.

Sloppily, he then fell on his side and you were turned to your side too, facing his chest. His face moved down to lay near your collarbone.
