About three seconds after my body had collided with the comfort of my couch, the sharp rapping of my door echoed through my ears. I was tempted to just ignore it and bury my head in a pillow.

The knock came again, this time harder.

"Alright, alright!" I called, a little pissed off. I heaved myself to my feet and dragged myself to the door, grumbling grumpily under my breath the whole way. The door swung open. I scowled.

"Ugh, of course it had to be you." I glared at the figure in my doorway. Max smiled.

"Who else?" He pretended to take his hat off. I rolled my eyes at him.

"If I had known who it was, I would have just ignored it." I grumbled. Behind him, I saw people passing by, pausing to see us and take pictures. I tried to ignore them.

"Why are you here?" I asked, my voice as cold as I could manage. He crossed his arms.

"I just came by to give this." He pulled out a box of tissues from behind his back. I got them confused. "So that you can cry in comfort." He said it loudly. I scowled at him.

"Seriously? You really think that I'm crying in here?" I crossed my arms, mirroring him. He smirked, a twinkle in his eyes.

"Of course. I know that it can't be fun when your little tantrums don't get you what you want." He smiled condecendingly. I felt my anger boil up.

"I don't have tantrums!" I said it, maybe a little too loudly. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Now, now. There's no need to make a scene." He tutted with a shake of his head. I glared at him.

"God, you are such a fucking jerk!' I snapped loudly.

Some people who had stopped to watch had stared to film us. I made eye contact with them. Without another word, I grabbed Max by his shirt and pulled him inside. I shot a last scowl at the people recording us before slamming the door shut.

"Me? A jerk! Well, you're just a-" He was saying loudly, pointing an acusitive finger at me.

"Shut up, will you? They can't see you anymore." I rolled my eyes at him. He smiled, taking my waist and pulling me against him. I felt these familiar butterflies in my stomach.

"So, if I kissed you, No one would know." He smirked, his head already leaning down a little. I smiled.

"Well, technically, I would-" I was cut off as he closed the gap between us, capturing my lips in a passionate kiss. I let my eyes flutter shut, my arms wrapping around his shoulders. I smiled against his lips, a warm feeling spreading through me. His hand cupped the side of my neck as his lips moved softly against mine. It was a gentle kiss, one filled with love and tenderness.

He pulled away, his forehead resting gently against mine as we both caught our breath. His thumb stroked the side of my face with a soft movement. I just stood there, basking in the feeling of his presence. There were no words needed.

"Well, that's one way to shut me up." I finally opened my eyes. He let out a low chuckle, pulling away a little to look me in the eye. I stared back into his icy blue ones, my heart already thumping in my chest.

"I've been wanting to do that all day." He let out a long sigh. I smiled, feeling my cheeks heat up a little. I knew how he felt. It was hard seeing him so much and yet never being able to touch him or kiss him.
