Spending the Sunday watching TV shows with Dinah was refreshing. Between her not-so-new job and her sister's crazy schedule at the hospital, they haven't had much time to just catch up and talk about nothing like they used to. They watched the whole season of Dead to Me on Netflix and Camila loved it.
Of course, when she wasn't distracted by Jen and Judy's story she was thinking about her own with Lauren, about last night and the messages they exchanged. Camila had asked if she'd gotten home okay wanting to be sure Lauren and the girls were fine.
Lauren was quick to respond and say that yes, they were fine and thanked Camila for her support saying 'Meant a lot more than she could imagine'. It's no wonder Camila spent the whole night awake thinking about that and between episodes the words would just come back into her mind, begging her to pay attention to it.
Monday, as followed, left Camila anxious. She didn't know how Lauren was going to react to her presence after witnessing her breakdown on Saturday and the messages... Little by little, her cold CEO constructive image was falling apart in front of her nanny and Camila could see her imperfections and fears...
Camila loved getting to know this side of Lauren not because she wanted to see Lauren suffer but because she liked that the raven felt like she could be vulnerable with her.
Camila wanted to offer comfort.
To her surprise, Lauren broke her routine and came down to have breakfast with her and the kids, she smiled when she saw the woman sitting down right next to Luna.
"Camziiii" Liv ran into her arms with her big clear eyes that melted her heart "Mommy is eating with us"
"Luna said I should come down," Lauren said and Camila looked at the little girl who was suspiciously quiet "Good morning"
"Good morning" Camila smiled at them "Well, Miss Jauregui, I don't know how breakfast works in your bedroom but here in the kitchen I run the show" Camila started to put Lauren's plate in front of her "So sit back and relax and I'll get everything ready"
"Are you taking over my kitchen?" Lauren teasingly arched an eyebrow
"Yes" She laughed "But don't tell Demi"
"I won't make any promises"
"How do you take your coffee?" She ignored the jab
"Black, please"
"Oh my God, who hurt you?" Camila made a disgusting face "Sweets make your day happier you know? I'm sure there's a study about it somewhere"
"I've other things to make me happy" Lauren rolled her eyes and Camila almost dropped the coffee she was carrying. Was Lauren flirting back?
"Cami" Luna interrupted, "Mommy says you can take me to Aunt Vero, after school" Camila looked at Lauren for confirmation and she nodded "I'm spending the afternoon there"
"They've been texting nonstop" Lauren took a sip of the coffee "Perfect"
Camila was going to ask if Luna should be allowed texting but hell, the way Lauren said her coffee was perfect distracted her.

In the afternoon, after helping Liv with her homework Camila saw her phone light up with a message from Lauren. She frowned trying to remember if she'd left instructions to something different but she couldn't come up with anything.
"Hello," She answered "Lauren?"
"Camila, I'm glad you picked up I was afraid you were too busy with the girls"
