Chapter 37: A deal is a deal

Camila and Dinah were still finishing the bottle of wine when she saw that Lauren was calling her cell phone, she ran to answer and almost tripped over the coffee table.

"Hello, hi" She could hear Dinah's laughter from a distance "Lauren?"

"Hi," She said shyly, was it weird to think that the two of them were now together? Were they even together? "I've talked to Luna"

"Oh" She almost choked, this is it, true time "I thought we were going to talk to her together?" At least that was what Lauren implied.

"I didn't want to put her on the spot" Lauren explained "I thought if you were there maybe she'd be too shy to give her honest opinion about everything"

"And?" She was nervous, her future with Lauren depended on it "What did she say?"

"She said it was okay" Camila could hear the smile in the raven's voice "I think she'll want to talk to you later... Something about gifts and movies, I don't know"

"Great" Camila laughed "I'm glad she understood, you see Lauren, everything worked out in the end..."

"Hmm," She mumbled on the phone and Camila felt like a teenager fiddling with her hair and talking to her boyfriend without her parents knowing "What are you going to do tomorrow after work?"

"Nothing I suppose, just home" Camila frowned "Do you need me to work late?"

"Actually," Lauren cleared her throat. "I was wondering if you want to have dinner with me, alone..."

"Like a date?" Camila's eyes widened and she started to smile.

"Yes"

"Of course I do!!!" Camila smiled "I'll love it, we can go straight from the house when you get back from work" She stopped when she saw she was rushing it.

"Okay, Camz," Lauren said "See you tomorrow morning ok?"

"See you tomorrow"

She hung up the phone with a giant smile and turned to Dinah who was drinking her wine and laughing at her sister who looked like a child on the phone.

"What was it this time?"

"Lauren asked me on a date!!!" She exclaimed throwing her cell phone on the sofa, she was happy that everything was working out "Luna said it would be okay if I start seeing her mother! Everything is working out DJ"

"Just... be careful and don't rush anything" Dinah looked worried, although she liked Lauren, she thought Camila was going too fast in their relationship!

"Don't worry, I won't" Camila said "I'll be careful"

Camila was almost asleep when her cell phone rang again, thinking maybe it was Lauren, she soon reached for it but didn't recognize the number.

The brunette debated for a second whether she'd answer or not but decided to accept it for fear that something had happened.

"Cami" It was a child's voice on the other side, wait, she knew that voice. Luna?

"Luna?" She blinked in shock "How do you have my number?" She didn't think the girl's cell phone even made calls.

"So... I heard you're dating my mom," The girl said seriously and Camila jumped out of bed.

"Errrr ...." Was she? "We're still talking about things Lu, but if it's up to me, yes, I want to date your mom! Is it okay with you? I promise I won't hurt her on purpose"

"It depends"

"On what?"

"What do I get out of it" The girl laughed "Are you going to bring me chocolate?"

"Do you want me to take you chocolates when I go out with your mom?" She tried to clarify

"Yes, I like those that are half white and half black ok?"

"Ok," Camila agreed without knowing what else to say and Luna hung up without saying goodbye. She smiled and turned to sleep, she would have to stop somewhere tomorrow morning to find the damn chocolates.

"Good morning" Camila smiled when she saw the raven entering the kitchen for breakfast, the routine remained the same between the two but Camila was in doubt as to how to greet the businesswoman after everything that happened and the fact that they were now together.

"Good morning" Lauren blushed, probably thinking the same thing. Great, they're in that phase of strangeness.

"I'm looking forward to our date later" Camila broke the ice while the girls didn't come down.

"Me too" Lauren smiled "I left the guest room ready for you" Her eyes widened "Not that I'm saying you're going to sleep here ... I meant to change clothes and get ready..."

"I get it" Camila smiled and Luna walked into the kitchen watching them both.

"You're not going to be all making goofy eyes and love stuff all the time right?" Luna crossed her arms and Camila laughed.

"No one is making goofy eyes" Lauren rolled her own eyes "We're just talking"

"Okay then" Luna shrugged "Cami, where's my chocolate?"

"Chocolate?" Lauren raised an eyebrow

"It's the deal, Mom" Luna sighed "She takes you out and brings me a present, remember?"

"I think so" Lauren held back a laugh "Also something about movies?"

"Exactly" Luna turned to the brunette "My chocolate?"

"Here" Camila took the bar out of her bag "But it's to eat later ok? After your lunch"

"Sure" Luna blinked innocently and Camila knew she would open the chocolate as soon as she could.

"Luna ..." Lauren looked at her curiously "You aren't even a fan of chocolate"

"I know I'm not" She drank her milk "But do you know who is? Julia... And she lent Vanessa my favorite pen, Mom" She sighed angrily "Vanessa, Cami"

"Ah," Camila looked confusedly at both "Should I know who she is?"

"My archenemy," Luna said naturally, Lauren rolled her eyes and Camila looked at her in shock. What is that?

"So, I'm going to open the chocolate at school and offer it to everyone but Julia" Luna said diabolically and Camila shivered, yes, that would be something very cruel if it were with her, she loved chocolate.

"Luna, don't be mean" Lauren scolded but continued to drink her coffee as if nothing had happened.

"I promise I won't be" Luna replied "It's just Karma"

Camila blinked at them, the ravens sat in the same way and raised their glasses to their mouths at the same time, they were like two clones.

Camila started to laugh.

"Great, now my secretary's going crazy" Luna sighs dramatically making Camila laugh harder and Lauren joins in.

She loves this family.
