Chapter 68: They walk in packs

"How is she?" Camila asked as soon as Lauren entered their bedroom, she was worried about Liv.

"I think she reacted well" Lauren took off her bracelet and unbuttoned her shirt "As expected"

"Did she cry? Did she say anything?" Camila was curious "Lo!"

"Yes, she cried but not too much" Lauren sighed "She said it was alright now because we have you" She smiled and came over to Camila, who took her in her arms, her heart warming with Liv's words.

"You know I love that girl as if she were mine, right?" Camila hugged Lauren "I worry sometimes..."

"About?" Lauren turned to look her in the eye.

"I don't know" She shrugged "If you ever get tired of me and don't let me see them"

"Camila!" Lauren exclaimed offended "Is that what you think of me?"

"Of course not" She stroked the raven's hand "But I worry just the same..." Her eyes widened "Or if something happens to you like you said and your mother wouldn't let me..."

"My daughters will never live with my mother" Lauren snorted "Never, even if I have to come back from the dead"

"But who has custody of the girls then?" Camila asked confused, maybe it was one of Lauren's friends?

"Ah," Lauren murmured "Ah!"

"Lauren!!" Camila said in shock "Don't tell me you didn't think about it, you were talking about it just now ..."

"I thought of it," She said quickly "A while ago I tried to talk to Fallon about leaving the girls with Normani but she told me that I could only leave the tutelage because she is not family and Lucy was still alive" she sighed "The guardianship itself I can't but yes, Normani and Veronica are in my will as tutors but my mother could fight for the guard if she wanted to or Lucy" she Hesitated "Well, she could if she was alive, I did said I was relieved, even if it's wrong"

"Ah yes" Camila nodded, she doesn't judge Lauren or Luna by their feelings. "Veronica?"

"She's Luna's godmother" Lauren laughed and kissed her. "If you want..." She hesitated "If you want I can put you as a tutor as well" Camila's eyes widened and her heart beat faster "So, regardless of who has custody of them, you can never be denied visitations"

Camila's eyes filled with tears right away.

"Only if you want..."

Camila nodded quickly and hugged the raven tightly.

"I want to" She murmured in her neck "I want it more than anything"

"Not that I'm planning to die anytime soon..." Lauren teased and Camila slapped her lightly on the shoulder.

"Of course not, are you crazy?" She laughed through tears "I think the accident just made me think, it could have been you, it could have been anyone"

"Yes" Lauren agreed to lay on the brunette's lap "It's weird"

The two went to sleep clinging, seeking comfort in each other.

Hailee turned off the stove, she'd woken up first and after answering Zayn and ignoring a message from her sister, she decided to make a surprise breakfast for when Fallon woke up.

They hadn't had sex the night before, but that didn't diminish the intimacy they had acquired, she was closer to Fallon now than when the redhead had her tongue inside her, it was all a matter of perspective.
