Camila saw Lauren arrive from work and go straight to Luna's room, it wasn't hard to guess what kind of conversation they would be having.
If she had to choose, she'd say to Lauren not to talk about it with Luna, after all, the girl told her what happened in confidence and she's not sure she'll like what Camila told her mother.
She's glad Lauren didn't ask about why they were having that conversation to begin with and can only hope she won't ask Luna. Camila doesn't want Lauren to think she's trying to put ideas in her daughter's head or to make up something that isn't there, even tho she's starting to wish it was.
Camila almost left in the meantime but when she was nearly ready she saw Lauren coming down and decided to stay and see what the raven would've to say.
"I've talked to her and them" She's probably referring to her friends "Apparently it was a misunderstanding all around, Luna didn't hear them asking her to join and they thought Luna didn't want to play" Lauren raised her hands to her hair and sighed tiredly.
"One of those days right?"
"You can't imagine" the CEO manages a little smile "After we talked my PR team called me to tell me that Lucy gave TMZ another interview about us"
"I apologize if I'm overstepping Lauren but why don't you just deny whatever she's saying, it's not true right?" Right?
"Of course, it isn't true, do you see me flying back and forth from Europe every night?" Camila smiled at the sarcasm "It was the deal we made in the divorce" Lauren finally admitted
"Ah" everything It's starting to make sense now "You can't contradict her publicly"
"No, I can't" Lauren bit her lips and Camila tried not to stare, this was a serious conversation, one they were getting used to having before she left every day "When we signed I just thought she'd make me take the blame for the divorce, paint me in bad light... I don't know what I thought, I just wanted to get her out of my daughter's life for good, she can't get to them now and If the media circus is the price to pay then so be it"
"So she doesn't have any rights to the girls?" She cleaned her throat "She can't take them?"
"She can't even see them if I don't allow it" Lauren answered calmly and Camila let out a breath she didn't know she was holding till now, knowing that Lucy didn't have any rights suddenly made her feel lighter "She gave up her rights to anything to do with us"
"I'm glad," She said without thinking
"Why?"
"Hm?"
"Why are you glad?" Lauren looked at me curiously "You know, Camila, you've been... intrepid, I dare to say even bold, ever since the, well, the incident"
"I'm just following my instincts" She promised herself the day Lauren came after her that she wouldn't hide her feelings, Lauren already knows them anyway.
"And what do your instincts say about me now, Camila?" Suddenly Lauren was closer, how did she get here? They're standing face to face at the bottom of the stairs, Camila's breathing is a little louder than usual.
"That maybe you're just as curious as me"
Lauren pulled away.
"Dinner today is Italian, my favorite" She remembers "You're welcome to stay"
"I'd love to"

"Camila"
She looked around in the direction of her name and saw Luna up the stairs, she didn't know how long she stood there after Lauren went to her studio, second-guessing herself about what she said. How she had said it.
