Chapter 58: Her own personal hero

Camila was in shock with the situation, she never thought that all this could have happened in the life of the woman she loved, so much pain and so much trauma. Lauren was a very strong woman... And Luna, her eyes filled with tears just to think, the kid fell asleep exhausted in her mother's arms on the sofa, no one dared to separate the two.

Luna had surprised her, Camila thought she was going to be angry but she was hurt and insecure, needing her mother's affection and touch to assure her that nothing was different.

"Clara, I think you better go," She said firmly in her direction, she hadn't said anything before so as not to disturb Lauren and Luna's moment but it was time, she had done too much damage.

"Camila, it wasn't my intention" She swore in a way Camila believed in her, the woman just couldn't control her curiosity about her daughter's life but it brought pain to two people that Camila loved and she was nervous she couldn't do something about it.

"Camz..." Lauren whispered from where she was sitting and the brunette soon forgot about Clara and looked at the raven who was almost in shock. "Camz?"

"Hi, Lo" She whispered not to wake Luna "I'm here, what do you need?"

"Help me..." She tried to get up "Help me get up..."

Camila held one of her hands while supporting Luna's body with the other, the girl moved and tried to grab her mother's waist, not letting her get up.

"Mommy" She whispered waking up and Lauren just tried to get up.

"Easy, let's take you to bed" Camila wanted to put the two of them on Lauren's bed where they would be more comfortable.

"NO" Luna shouted when Lauren pulled away. "stay here"

"Lu, I need to get up" Lauren's voice was weak, Camila held her on one side while Luna pulled on the other.

Camila watched as Lauren took a step just to freeze, her breathing stopped and her body went limp. Camika tried to run to catch her but she wasn't that fast.

Lauren passed out with a crash.

"Mom?!" Luna shouted as she stood up at the same time that Clara called "Lauren?"

Camila was busy trying not to let the raven hit her head on the floor and laid her carefully on the rug.

"Lo?" She tried to wake the woman "Lauren?"

"What's going on with her?" Luna asked desperately "Mommy? Cami? Is she going to die?" The little girl was starting to hyperventilate too, and Camila couldn't take care of both.

"Clara" She turned to the woman "Hold Luna"

The woman did and Camila wasted no time and called the hospital, Lauren could have passed out from emotion but it could also be serious and she wasn't going to risk the woman's life.

"I'm calling an ambulance" Camila was trying to stay calm but all the events were weighing on her shoulder as well.

"MOM!" Luna screamed on Clara's lap trying to wake her mother and it was proof that Lauren was not present, any mother would have jumped when she heard her daughter's screams. Camila just hoped that Liv wouldn't hear from wherever she was with Demi.

"Lo" Camila tried to call again, running her hand through the raven's hair but she didn't answer... Discreetly Camila checked her breathing and pulse just to be sure and sighed in concern to see that her heartbeat was accelerating.

"What do we do now?" Clara asked hugging Luna tightly.

"We wait"
