Camila was halfway through the second cup of coffee offered by the principal when her cell phone vibrated and she knew it was Lauren returning her calls, Camila had called at least five times but the raven's cell phone only went to voicemail. She was probably in a meeting and Camila even left messages with Ally, her secretary.
"Hi, Camz? What happened? I just saw your calls..."
"Lauren! You need to come to the girls' school now! Lucy came here and took Liv!"
"Camila?" Lauren's voice was nervous "What is this? What do you mean, Lucy picked Liv up from school? She doesn't have custody, she can't do that!"
"I know!!" Camila said firmly back, pressing her phone hard "I'm at the principal's office right now trying to understand"
"What about Luna?" Lauren was getting desperate "Is she with you? Did Lucy take her?"
"No, she's here with me," Camila said gently "A little shaken but okay"
"Ok," Lauren sighed "Don't leave, I'm leaving right now. I'll call the police on the way"
"I already called the police," Camila said, she'd dialed while Lauren didn't answer "But I don't think they took me seriously, you should call them too!"
"Wait for me there" Lauren hung up.
"Miss Cabello?" The director called her "Did you speak to Mrs. Jauregui?"
"I did" Camila bit her lip in anger at the lack of care at school "She's coming here" She saw the eyes of the people in the room widen, they knew it could be very bad for the school "If I were you I'd start praying "
Meanwhile, not far from there, Lauren hung up the phone and had to swallow the urge to throw it against the wall. The only thing that stopped her was knowing that without it she wouldn't be able to communicate with Camila and that the technology department would take a few days to fix it, as she knew from the last time she did it.
Walking quickly to the elevator, she ignored Ally's calls - something about her next meeting - and hit the legal department floor button. She needed to be completely armored against Lucy!
Just thinking about her name made Lauren nauseous, how dare she do that? And wasn't it this morning that she spoke to Lauren on the phone? The CEO quickly took out her cell phone to check if the number was international but it was private.
Was Lucy already in Chicago when she made that call? When had she returned?
Lauren felt the power she had inside the company when she saw everyone getting out of her way when she left the elevator, usually, Lauren always greeted everyone with a smile and diminished her authoritarian stance enough to not make anyone feel uncomfortable but now the only thing on her mind was getting her daughter! She didn't care if she looked like a fire-breathing dragon walking down the halls, it was good for people to remember who Lauren Jauregui was.
"Fallon" She walked into the redhead's office without knocking "Get your things, we're leaving"
"Lauren?" The lawyer looked at her confused. "What's going on? Do I need to notify the media department? Prepare a habeas corpus. Sell your shares in Switzerland?" Fallon Carrington was anything but unprepared.
"Lucy picked Livia up from school," She said as the redhead took the bag "Without authorization!"
"Okay, easy" Fallon took out her cell phone and started typing, probably talking to her police contacts "Do you want to indict the school?"
"Sure" Lauren breathed a sigh of relief when she knew the woman was ready, that's what Lauren was paying a six-figure salary for. "Shares in Switzerland?"
