~Anya's Perspective~

She was outside and making her way inside the hospital when she saw guards in red shirts, Gaines's men. And Gaines himself walking amongst them, leading them inside.

"I want Dawkins, red handed, you hear?" Anya heard Gaines from a distance. "Search every ward and cranny for the pay."

Anya sneaked past them and ran inside to find Jack, she had to tell him Gaines was here. But they were in luck because they didn't steal the pay. But they were in Gaines's house attempting to steal it.

"Jack! Jack," Anya yelled after she had found him. "Gaines is coming."

"Shit!"

"Calm." She said. "If we run, we'll look as guilty as a cat licking pork bags and for once. we're innocent. We don't got the money."

Jack sighed. "Alright then we'll have to get our stories straight."

"Right."

"Mr Dawkins. MIss Jones" Gaines greeted.

"Dr Dawkins."

"A quiet word?"

Jack smirked. "Trouble with the prostate?"

The two of them met Gaines in a room which was long but not super big. The two of them sat down in front of the man. Gaines, carefully and slowly licked his pen, a disgusting sight.

"When I served with the Governor in Africa," Gaines explained, oh wonderful story time. Anya thought. "An infantryman mocked me for being a clerk. "Only a pen, never a sword." But when I caught him stealing the supplies, I used this pen to sign his death warrant."

"A heartwarming anecdote." Jack muttered.

Gaines got right to it. "I'm told you were in my home when the pay was stolen."

"Healing your men." Jack explained. "For which you owe me two quid."

Gaines continued with the questions. "Your friend, Miss Anya, was with you, a convict, I seem to recall."

"If your gonna talk about me like I'm not here I might as well leave." Anya muttered.

"Sorry." Gaines said. "So, on the night the pay went missing you brought in a criminal..."

"As my medical assistant."

"Oh where did she train?" Gaines asked.

"I'm training her myself."

Gaines smilied viciously. "Ah. I see. I did hear a rumor, and please, I don't know if it's correct or not. Miss Jones is your fiance."

"Yes." Anya blushed, she was wondering if he really just said that, but he did. Which was weird because he never asked. Nor did they have such a formal relationship.

"Miss Jones are you all right?"

She cleared her throat. "Yes. Fine."

They had gone to the graves to find the money because Fagin had gotten the money stuffed inside a dead man. Now they to find which grave he was in, dig him out, cut him open and put the money back. Problem was there were no labels.

"We need to find Aputi." Jack said. "He'll know where he buried him. Help us dig him up, too."

Anya didn't like the sound of that. "It's not right, Dodge."

"What?"

"It's against my principles." She muttered.

"And since when do you have principles?" Jack asked.
