Eustice: Are you alright?

Me: I am. I just scrapped my skin a bit.

Eustice: How did this happen?

Me: I was running in the hallways....

For some reason I couldn't look the king in his eyes and was avoiding it frantically. I hated what would come next. He would for sure start to actually scold me and then tell me how stupid that was and that I was not a child. I even expected that to happen. I mean he was the king. I was a princess until recently... well not really but still that didn't mean that the training was gone. Since I was a kid everyone told me how to behave, speak and act like a princess. Now that I was not a princess anymore but simply a guest, I really expected him to go full out to chew me up for each single error I was making.

Eustice: I am glad you didn't hurt yourself more than that.

Me: Huh?

Eustice: Why are you acting that surprised?

Me: Why are you not angry?

Eustice: Should I be angry?

Me: I thought so....

Eustice: I am not. I am just glad that you are alright and that it is nothing serious.

Me: ....

Eustice: Any reason you were running around?

Me: I was searching for Fenrir.

Eustice: Your.... wolf....

Me: Yes. Your Majesty did you see my wolf?

Eustice: No, I am sorry. I have not.

Oh Fenrir... Where the hell are you?

The more I was thinking about it, the more I felt like panicking. He was a family memeber for me and for my wolf not to be found anywhere was more than just worrysome. The fact alone that someone could trap that wolf was amazing and it was definitely not to be underestimated at all. He was powerful and Fenrir was certainly not one without magic powers as well.

Me: ...

Eustice: I will have my guards look for the wolf.

Me: Thank you.

Eustice: Is there anything else you need?

Me: Just Fenrir.... I am fine otherwise...

Eustice: Are you sure?

Me: Yes.

Eustice: .... Can I ask you one more time. Are you sure you don't want to me by daughter?

Me: I'll pass thanks for the offer.

Eustice: Why?

Me: The high society wouldn't take it and even then, I feel sick being around people who are faking everything. Your Majesty... I am tired to play along.

Eustice: .... I see.....

Me: ....

There was just heavy silence in the room all the time till a priest showed up. It was funny but the king seemed to have called a priest instead of a doctor. I don't really  know why and I didn't care at all. This was how I left the king to bandage me up while he was talking to a priest about a ceremony.

Eustice: I want the ceremony to be as soon as possible.

Priest: That would be difficult.

Eustice: Do whatever you need to do. I will pay even more for it.

Priest: I understand.

Eustice: Make it flawless.

Priest: I understand.

Eustice: .... Next week Monday.

Priest: Pardon?

Eustice: Set it on Monday.

Priest: That is too soon.

Eustice: I don't care! Make it happen!

With that the priest left the room and I was left alone with the king. It seemed as if the priest was a bit scared when he left. Not gonna lie but it seemed as if the king was ready to kill the priest. There was just something about this conversation that also made my hair stand up. I really didn't liked what that conversation could mean at all.

Eustice: I am sorry you had to see that.

Me: It's alright.

Eustice: Are you not curious?

Me: No.

Eustice: The date for Elincias announcement is set already. It will be on Monday. I do not want anyone to treat you badly and I will make sure everyone will understand that.

Me: ....

I was kinda speechless on that and it was not as if the king was actually letting me talk back  because he stood up and left the room. Once I was alone, I was really just speechless. What in the world happened was the only question in my head. Nothing really made sense but there was really nothing I could say about it.

Not only was everything going soo fast but I feared that something was about to happen.

First there was his majesty, Eustice, who was misunderstanding me for sure. The king probably was thinking that I was running to find Fenrir because of how I felt. It was logical for him to think so because he had no idea how I felt and what I knew. For him, what I just said made it look like I didn't wanted to even be close to the palace and would be a peasant so that he shouldn't be close to me at all.

....

I really hoped that I was wrong but I knew that it was not true and that my thought might be right about this.
