Noon came quickly and before long, you stood outside of Erwin's office, picking at the threads on your shirt as you debated going in. There was no mention of what this meeting was about, so you were walking in blind.

You wrapped your fingers around the brass doorknob and entered the room. Hange, Levi, and Erwin were sitting around a square wooden table.

Immediately, Levi's eyes bore into yours, but this time you didn't balk. It had been three weeks since you'd seen him, and you'd just accepted he didn't like you. There were other people you could befriend, anyway.

"Sit." Erwin said, motioning to the chair across from him.

You dusted off yourself as you sat down, "Thank you for meeting with me. I know our first encounter was...unsavory" You were still shy about the whole ordeal, but he just shook his head.

"No worries." He offered. He didn't let on if he was upset by it or not, so you let it go.

"Now," Hange spoke up, leaning into the table with hands grasped. "We understand that you have a personal mission of finding your brother, which we would like to know more about. I'm aware that you are under the impression that we can help you, and I hope we can. But first, we just have some questions for you." She was smiling now, which meant she had learnt to trust you at least a little.

Levi stayed silent though, as usual. Whatever, asshole.

"I have nothing to hide. Ask away."

"Wonderful. Our first question- Did you know about the titans in the walls."

You felt everyone's eyes on you, and you'd be lying if you said it didn't make you nervous. "No," you said truthfully, "I did not know about that."

"Hmm," Erwin hummed. "What do you know about the titans then?"

You frowned, "Not much, unfortunately."

Levi casually sipped his tea as he butted in, "You grew up in a bloodline of titan shifters. I'm sure your family had secrets to pass down. Think long and hard about anything that could be useful."

You knitted your brows together, biting down on your retort. "Give me some credit, I have common sense. If there was any information I had that could benefit this conversation, I'd say it." You frowned at the Captain, "I mean it, I swear." You reaffirmed, hoping they'd believe you. "You're right, my family did have secrets. Specifically, it was my grandfather who knew the most about anything. But he was a secretive man. He refused to talk about the past, and he wouldn't say why. But it was along the lines of letting old grudges die, or something."

"Did he have the Protector Titan?" Erwin questioned.

"Yes. He carried it for a while before he got sick and died. It was passed down to my brother after him, as my father chose not to participate." You responded, "I don't know much about the technicalities of it all or how exactly my brother got it. All I know is that it went to Oliver first, and then after his term, it was supposed to go to me if he didn't have any children beforehand." You trailed off, knowing that will never happen now.
