After the battle came to an end, the Scouts and the rest of the military worked together as a whole to restore peace and order within the walls. Luckily, the death toll in Orvud was minimal, but the infrastructure had taken quite a few hits, requiring many days to repair. However, even with the conjoined efforts of the military and the citizens, the city still had a long way to go to get back to how it was before Rod Reiss attacked.

During this time, Historia was unofficially working as the head of the government while she awaited her coronation day to be officially named as Queen. Word had spread of her success in the battle, and most of the citizens of the walls backed her rise to the throne with full support. This was a refreshing moment of peace and unity after many long and arduous months.

You and your friends were given the option to take a few weeks off, but due to your loyalty and strong friendship, you all chose to stay and work alongside Historia, wishing to offer as much support as possible as she worked with the military to rebuild the government from the ground up.

In other news, Historia's coronation day was rapidly approaching. She had been busy preparing for the event by planning, studying, and taking lessons on proper etiquette, so you didn't see her as much. However, in an attempt to finally appear as a unified government, she announced that a royal ball would take place on the evening of her coronation. All figures of importance inside the walls were invited; nobles that remained loyal to the Reiss family, all high ranking officials and military personnel, and of course, you and all of your friends.

As you walked through the streets of Mitras, you couldn't help but feel the excitement buzzing around you. The anticipation for Historia's upcoming coronation ball was everywhere, filling all corners of the city with a newfound liveliness.

Hange walked alongside you, soaking in the scenes as well. She had suggested to you that you both go shopping, as neither of you owned anything nearly elegant enough for the ball.

You and Hange navigated through the colorful row of shops that lined the streets, their windows all showing different kinds of wares and clothes. It was tempting to go into every store, but for your own sake, you held back.

"Adeline, darling, look at this!" Hange exclaimed, grabbing your arm and pulling you towards a shop that carried a beautiful display of fabrics. You followed her, her enthusiasm causing you to giggle as you enter the store.

Inside the shop, yyou were greeted by a mix of colors and textures, each garment more interesting than the last. You gasped silently in awe at the sheer amount of dresses. The store itself was furnished with a soft red carpet, lit by a dazzling crystal chandelier in the middle. The air carried the scent of flowers, adding to the overall elegance of the store.

Hange practically squealed with delight as she approached the first rack, skimming over the embroidery and lacey fabrics of each gown.

"Adeline, look at this one!" she exclaims, holding up a floor length black dress that seemed to shimmer like moonlight against the light of the chandelier.
