Julian's POV-
I was once again faced with a flash of great blinding light which had me covering my eyes once again until I felt the effects eventually fade off with my sight coming back though now it would be seeing darkness once more as I found myself walking forward through the empty void of blackness and so on. As I did I began hearing the faint voices of my parents again although this time it sounded as if there was an argument going on with another person who seemed to be discussing something important but I couldn't make out what they were saying at first until the voices began to get clearer the more I had wandered forward.
Caesar: How can this be, why must our son be in danger?
???: Both of your sons are in peril, after your eldest was born many forces began to grow in their power just to match his prodigal potential. Now that you're second child is here, the darker forces have grown more.
Hilde: But why come after our children? Why not us after so long?
???: They know you two couldn't be touched especially after you went into solitude. But your sons' very existence have created a great presence in the rest of the world, they will not be safe for much longer...and you both know what the Seer had mentioned.
Caesar: No! I will not allow my sons to walk down the same path I chose, especially if it leads to their end just as the rest of my family has gone before.
???: Then I suggest you all figure this out soon, we cannot keep you protected for much longer.
Hilde: What are we going to do? Our boys are in danger...
Caesar: I know... perhaps we have them separate.
Hilde: What do you mean? Are you suggesting we leave them both?
Caesar: Not entirely, but it's the only other option we have. Jay will be more protected by your family, and he's more capable of defending himself that I'm certain of.
Hilde: And what about Julian? Where shall be left to?
Caesar: Perhaps....Oberon and Titania?
Hilde: Are you certain they will keep him safe?
Caesar: Truly certain, they are in debt to us and they treat him like their own child. I'm certain they will take care of him.
Hilde: But he will have many questions about us not being there.
Caesar: Not if he doesn't remember...
Hilde: You want his memory of us to be removed? We can't do that to him, he's our son!
Caesar: And if he doesn't remember us, then he'll not know of all of this... including his gifts will be locked away and making his presence hidden.
Hilde: Caesar please.... there has to be any other way...
Caesar: My whole family is gone, and your family only values those with potential in magic....he is more like me than I hoped he wasn't and I know I can not protect him from everything, neither of us. There is no other way to keep him safe... I'm sorry.
Hilde: It's for the sake of their safety....when shall we get moving?
Caesar: We'll start tonight when they're asleep, you take Jay and I'll take Julian. Let us say our last goodbyes to our son...
Afterwards the voices of my parents would fade out and leaving back to hearing nothing and though it was still darkness from everything or at least anything I could see, from the distance I had taken noticed to a small glimmer of light way off in front of my direction as it's source was almost enough to where I could see my own body looking down at myself and by some strange feeling I was making my way towards the small light in the distance and as I was getting closer the voices of my parents could be heard echoing once again along with the voices of both the fairy king and queen whom I had recently met prior and somewhat rekindle my relationship with them as their godsons.
Caesar: He is unaware of the situation except for our other son. But for him to be safe he must forget our existence and everything of the supernatural world.
Oberon: Are certain this is what you two want?
Hilde: It's our only option if we want him to be safe...
Titania: We will treat him like our own son, we promise to keep him protected.
Oberon: Once he wakes up, he'll have no recollection of any of this. He will live with the mortals as one of them with us watching over.
Caesar: Thank you both...may we have our last moments with him?
Titania: Of course...
Hilde: My dear sweet boy, we will always be watching after you. Even if we're far away, we'll see you grow and become an amazing man... you will help so many people and have so many friends. And we will be waiting for you to come back home to us...we love you my son, my sweet Julian....
At that moment I stopped and went to feel my forehead as I could have sworn it felt as if someone had kissed me there and yet I could see no mark left behind only the warm feeling I had felt receiving it and then only realizing that it was the last kiss my mother placed on me which putting the pieces together was probably the spell of some kind that blocked my memory of it. Afterwards my attention would go back to the light that was closer to my front as I was now standing before a small branch of wood which had instead of a bush a bright flame which illuminated the rest of the area that resembled a small cave.
Soon I would hear a faint voice calling out to me from the flame itself as I felt compelled to move closer towards the light of it and whilst I did my hand started to slowly lift up in attempting to try to put my hand forward over the flame. As it was, there was no burns but only the warmth of it was all I could feel and it was rather pleasant to be experiencing almost like those days when the cold outside is opposed by the open fire in a home that keeps people toasty when near and only with this the pleasant feeling was moreso. Once again the faint voice would call out to me as my hand had begun to lower further into the flame and once it did all of a sudden the memories of my parents, brother, and further knowledge that had been locked away would resurface but it was more than just those memories but in fact all of the emotions and experiences that I had would rush up and overflow into my body and felt as if it touched my very soul and I was simply sitting on the ground with my hand in the flame and remembering everything that I had forgotten of my past as soon tears would leak from my eyes.End of chapter -
