The entire class was spent avoiding looking at Gitae. Even when Gitae would ask for something like a pen or paper, he'd just give the things to him without facing him. The class ended soon later. They stepped out of the class together, still in silence. They stood by the door. Sunwoo forced himself to face Gitae. "Um, are you alright today? You seem better." He asked awkwardly while avoiding eye contact.
Gitae smirked. "I'll be better if you join me for a cafe pick-me-up." Sunwoo's cheeks immediately started turning a bright pink. 'Ugh, he's making it so hard for me to forget that dream when he talks like this.' Sunwoo panicked in his head.
"Can I also join in on your date?" Nayeong suddenly spoke from behind Gitae. She hugged his arm. Sunwoo's eyes stuck on Nayeong holding Gitae's arm.
Gitae sighed before rolling his eyes. He faced Nayeong. "What are you doing here? You don't have any classes today."
'He memorized her schedule?' Sunwoo asked himself.
"I came to ask you to join me. I wanted something tasty to eat. I'm glad I found you right when you were asking Sunwoo for a date."
Sunwoo blushed again. "Uh n-no, it's not-" He tried to speak but Gitae cut him off.
"I wasn't asking him out on a date. We were just going to go to a nearby cafe." Nayeong pouted and let Gitae's arm go.
Sunwoo felt a little sad hearing Gitae saying it wasn't a date like that. Even though it was true, he felt sad seeing Gitae shut down Nayeong so sternly. "Fine, whatever. Let's go." She pulled Gitae towards the entrance. Sunwoo followed behind with a frown on his face. Nayeong sat in the front with Gitae who looked annoyed the entire way to the cafe.
Once they got to the cafe they grabbed a table while Gitae went to order for everyone. He came and sat next to Sunwoo shortly after. Nayeong kept on staring at them with a huge smile on her face since she was sitting opposite to them. "Don't you have other friends to bother?" Gitae asked her with his eyebrow up.
"They're busy. All of them have boyfriends so they went on dates and stuff. Of course I had to ask you out too. Plus I also wanted to ask you if you're going to Madrid in December. My father won't stop pestering me about you. He keeps on telling me to call you and ask about our outfits for this year."
"I'm not sure if I'm going or not. My mom didn't say anything so I'm guessing she's not attending the ball this year."
"I remember aunty saying she doesn't like the new location, that she's always preferred Paris." Nayeong chuckled. "How's she doing now though? Is she better?" Gitae nodded. Sunwoo remained quiet while the two talked about their parents. Nayeong noticed Sunwoo not saying anything. "Are you okay, you seem very quiet." She asked him.
"He doesn't talk much." Gitae answered for him. Their buzzer went off. Gitae got up and went to fetch their order. Sunwoo faced his fingers under the table.
"Sunwoo, can I ask you something?" Sunwoo lifted his head. He nodded softly. "Have you two made it official yet?" Sunwoo's brow rose.
"Huh? W-what do you mean?"
"Well, are you dating yet?"
'Huh? THEY are not dating?'
"No, no, no. We're just friends." Sunwoo shook his head.
Nayeong frowned. "Aw, really? I thought you guys were a thing."
"Definitely not, haha." Sunwoo chuckled awkwardly.
"Too bad. You guys look good together." She nodded. She got busy with her phone. Sunwoo couldn't stop blushing. Gitae came back with their order. He put Nayeong's drink in front of her before giving Sunwoo his cake and drink. He only got himself an Americano. Only Sunwoo got a cake.
