Draco stays silent for a moment, words, sentences rolling around in his head that I can't reach. He shakes his head.
"Fine, y/n, fine." He says and walks back towards the school grounds.
I'm left standing alone on the field, the only thing left is Draco's retreating figure, a hard stomp in his footsteps.
The wind around my swipes up harshly, ripping leaves off of trees, whipping my hair in front of my eyes. I stumble back and hit the ground. My breathes become quicker, my lungs clouded with smoke. As I hit the ground, the ground beneath me starts to rumble and shift. It hits me at what's happening. I'm causing this. I-I need to calm the fuck down or else this whole school could potentially be washed away.
I close my eyes. The crackle of the fire beneath my gaze, Draco so close to me that he interferes with every breath I make, his voice low, trying to apologize. I breathe in slowly. The ground starts to settle. I release a breath and the wind settles back to its normal swing.
I knew this would happen.
Please note that the fallowing will be a flashback to y/n past just to spice the story up a bit.If you're not interested in it then rest assured you can skip to the next page where the story will continue.
"Y/n! Y/n! Do it again! " Chelsea cheers at me a big bright smile planted on her little face.
I grin at her. "Leviosa!" I yell and my little sister drifts into the air.
A laugh escapes as she swooshes into the air.
"That way!" She points and I oblige swinging her in the air to the left. She makes a gesture with one hand out stretched like she's superman and I laugh at her.
"Y/n! Chelsea! Dinner time!" My mom's voice comes from the house.
"Enough for now Chelsea we can play again tomorrow." I say and start lowering her to the ground.
"Five more minutes!" She wines.
I sigh, breaking under her pure pressure. "Fine, five more minutes then were done."
I start lifting her again and she screeches in delight."That way!"She commands fiercely.
I do as I'm told by a 4 year old for five minutes straight and then I finally set her down.
"C'mon." I say as I pick up her tiny little body "We have to go eat- and remember dad can't know about this."
Chelsea nods at me a smile still planted firmly on her face.
Later, after dinner and everyone's drifted off to sleep a screech echoes down the hall that yerks me awake.
"Y/n!" My father's rusted voice yells. "Take care of your sister!"
I go to her room and find Chelsea sitting on her pink little bed, hunched over with tears streaming down her face. Another wail bounces off the walls.
"Y/n!" My dad yells again, this time anger hinting in his voice.
"I got it dad!" I begin to feel a little flushed as my body becomes overwhelmed, slowly but surely I know it's coming.
I sit beside Chelsea and rub her back. "Hey sis, what's wrong?" I whisper gently to her. She doesn't answer me, instead her cries grow even louder.
My dad yells my name again in fury.
My hands starts to shake, my heart beating ruthlessly against my ribcage."What's wrong Chelsea?" I plead.
Her cries grow louder and so does my father's voice down the hall commanding me to shush her. My hands won't stop shacking.
What's happening to me?
"Shh sis. Please can you just do that for me?" I start begging.
She doesn't.
"Y/n!" My father yells.
"I got it!"
Something inside of me flips out of control. Somehow I know it's doing something that I won't be able to control. Chelsea's back whips backwards like someone just yanked her backwards. Then her body falls limp in my grip. Her cries silenced.
I sat there on the tiny pink bed, with my sisters dead corpse in my grasp. Alone I stared at her wall for hours, hoping she would spring up and alive again. She never did.
My mother warned me that my magic could snap out of control. I knew, I just didn't know it could grow to such lengths. That's when I started pushing everyone away, I started to push myself back from people. Never making bonds or relationships for the fear of repeating my mistake and clasping another dead body between my palms.
