"So you're... Half devil, half angel?"

The room was elegant, the whole group of friends sitting in the seats along with the Marcus brothers. Amy and her new lover snuggled on one side of the couch, followed by Rebecca trying to keep distance from the snuggling couple. Lilith and Reese sitting on an opposite couch on one side, Hale in the middle and Axle at the other end watching the pacing girl as Pet walked around with a tray of champagne glasses.

"Yes Axle, for the hundredth time she has said it, what I don't get is why you'd bring mere- disgusting mortals to this sacred place, it's obscene-"
Hale took a small glass of champagne from the tray Pet was holding out, raising his brow as he looked over at Rebecca with a smug smirk.
"Unless she's an offering of course-"

"Excuse me!?"
Rebecca exclaimed angrily as she quickly stood up, going for the charge to almost attack him but was quickly held back by Amy.
"No one's killing me today mother fucker-"

"Hale, they're my friends... Could you show a bit of niceness. Please? for fucks sake... Do you guys seriously not get around regular humans much?"
Melanie growled lightly towards Hale as she spoke, walking over to Rebecca shortly after to put a hand on her shoulder.

"Chill, please-"
Becca just smiled at her friend to reassure her she was fine, then over to glare at Hale before she sat back down and crossed her legs, leaving Mel to go back to her pacing back and forth.

"I, for one, find it fascinating-"

"Wh- who even are you again? One of Amy's new squeezes, how's that work anyways?"
Melanie raised a brow at the male wrapping an arm around her friend.

"That's Lance, he's our pope basically-"
Reese slid in a word, quickly sinking back into Lilith like a small child who was shy.

"Can we get back on the subject for my best friend- please... She's having a fucking crisis and you guys really aren't helping-"

Serina was standing just in the middle where Mel was pacing, watching her closely.
"She's just, not ready for that pressure."

"I mean, you did say you wanted something supernatural to happen to you also, remember?"
Rebecca grabbed a glass when Pet passed her, smiling at the girl and whispering a thank you, then looked back to the group.

"Besides, I'm sure you'd be a badass, I mean, I guess you already are-"

Melanie stopped her pacing to quickly turn and face everyone, letting out a small shaky breathy sigh as everyone went quiet and looked right back at her. Serina smiled, walking from behind her to her side and grabbing onto her hand to interlock fingers with her.
" We need to talk to Lucifer-"

" No, no, no. A hundred times, no-"
Axle stood quickly, setting his glass down on one of the side tables and shook his head, slowly walking towards the two.
" We're not letting you go talk to someone who could easily persuade you to let him go-"

" What choice do I have-"

" I don't care, I said no and that's final-"
Axle grabbed onto Serina firmly and pulled her away from Melanie, Rina looking between them a bit confused. Melanie just growled and crossed her arms.

"Axle, you'll do anything for Serina, helping me will make her happy-"
Melanie glared deeply into his eyes and Axle glared back, giving a staring contest as a way to show dominance.

"Serina isn't a tool you can just wager-"

"Never said she was-"

"You have no authority here-"

"You have no right to keep me from my lives-"

"You don't deserve any of it-"

"What's that supposed to mean?!"
