The hallways were empty, lightly lit and surrounded with the sound of silence all the way down. The elevator could be heard as Melanie would walk down the halls and into the elevator. She'd push a button and sighed, thinking to herself Now if only I was told where it was at. The elevator door gently closed before it opened back up to Jasper. He walked in, taking the empty spot next to Melanie and looked at the elevator door with a light grin. Melanie didn't acknowledge him, of course, not until he was looking down at her with a small smirk. She then furrowed her brows as she looked up at him.
"So, you are a scare person who just, roams the halls to freak people out. Is this supposed to be like, a haunted trail but a hotel version?"
' What ? No .. that's , ridiculous . I'm the real thing . I don't come here to scare you , I wanted to get to know you . '
The ghoul cocked a brow with almost an offended look .She furrowed her brows and scooted away from him a bit.
"Okaayyy... Well now that you're the actual owner who died in the room we're in, I feel awkward..."' Oh please , you've seen worse in your life time I'm sure . So , allow me to reintroduce myself since you took forever to believe me . I'm Jasper H. Banks . '
She nodded and cleared her throat.
"Melanie, pleasure. So, I guess you're going to get a drink?"' I will if it's with you . '
He raised his brows and tilted his head some with the reassuring grin he had ,' Wouldn't imagine one otherwise . '
She smiled a bit and nodded, but looked down.
"I'm, probably going to be another one of your victims if I don't get a drink with you, right? Or, is that just shit. You know, everyone says serial killers are all assholes, what if all they wanted was one friend. Just one! But they never had one so they killed everyone that turned them down-"
' that's a ... Far stretch . But I guess I could see where you're coming from ? '
He sees how she's just a girl with hella questions , from the start he knew she was fascinated by the hotel and it's story from when he watched her in the windowShe let out a small breath when the elevator door opened and walked out with him.
"You know, I'm not eighteen yet. Right? Your, key master kind of, said I could get things though. I don't want you thinking I'm of age or whatever..."' Little one , I couldn't care if you drink or didn't . Or shot up , snorted , or whatever it is you kids do today . '
He chuckled and shook his head as he'd walked at her side ."Of course, mostly because you could care less about me, since you're a ghost and you don't even care about much of anything-"
He scoffed and shook his head.
' Never said I didn't care. I just don't want you dying here- 'She looked up at him and furrowed her brows.
"You, care about me dying here?"' Yes ? .. You'd never leave . '
It came out in the wrong way but he meant it in a different sense .She just looked down a bit shocked and bit the inside of her lip when they ended up at the bar and sat down on a stool, looking at the counter.
"Um, so you want me to stay?"' Look , kiddo .. is there something you're trying to say ? '
He cocked a brow as he took a seat at the bar , the tender knew what to get him already ."No no it's just... I don't want to die here, I seriously don't. No offense, this is a nice place but, I have plenty of other things to do. You know, live life, party! Drink, make mistakes, and die from something stupid, not by a serial killer who's already dead..."
