Serinas pov
creek, SLAM.
Shes tossed onto her ass out into the streets for the night. The expensive stainless oakwood doors slammed behind her, causing the humble home she was tossed from to quake as they always did. A slightly identical yet older woman opened the window from by the now locked and chained door to shout at the deceivingly innocent looking girl while she triumphed onto her feet to stare back at angry one.' Don't bother coming back tonight because the door will be locked! Ungrateful BRAT! Don't depend on Noah either, i have his damn key! '
' Bite me! '
Without hesitation, the teenage girl trots off from the property in her combat boots, which heavily clops and clicks against the asphalt. While arriving at the crossroads of her street and her now ex-boyfriend Anthony's street. Who was nicknamed Sunny, after the way people said his drugs made them feel. Looking down the direction of his house made her stomach twist and trench.
Its terrifying, remembering the road in general. Remembering the abuse, remembering the forced drugs. If she did go, she would be able to crash there during his party and maybe even find her brother. On the other hand, his parties weren't to be reckoned with. Usually, they never ended well for her. Not much different from home, only the narcotics weren't forced but offered, by siblings who were supplied from the same person who forced her. An endless cycle.
This is where her morals sense comes into play. She has to ask herself if she'd rather spend the nights on the streets or take a chance to blend in with the other people that would be there. The liars, the cheats, the partiers, the forgetters, the assholes, the preps.
Fuck.
She's already regretting the decision she's made while approaching, strangers eyes being set on her. They gave an expression of how she even dared to show her face at his house since the breakup and all the drama. She halted at the mailbox and curb to judge the setting, searching her body for her phone before grabbing it from her back pocket. Calling her brother, with high hopes he could help her find a way to break back in. A few seconds . . .
quietly, ' fucking- pick up. '
A few more seconds . . .Y o u r p h o n e c a l l h a s b e e n f o r w a r d e d t o-
Serina hung up. She didnt want to have to stay in the back of an old family friends gas station. It was sketchy and made her uneasy.
She has to go in.The scenery was something out of a Quentin Tarantino movie. Normal people, she saw every day and some unfamiliar faces. People school with her, others who graduated from the year before and other grown strangers; slanging lines of cocaine, smoking cigarettes and popping pills. Couples and throuples making out as well as drunk women agreeing to leave with date rapists,
Shes repulsed. Utterly speaking to herself.
' disgusting. '
Turning her head, her blood runs cold. The one face she didn't want to see was abruptly in her sight. Sunny.
She tenses up, and he grins because of it." 'Rina-! I knew you'd come back to me baby doll. . . You finally gonna try something or are you still that girl. '
' don't fucking 'Rina' me. Im not here for you. Im not here to try drugs or drink. I'm here for a social life. . . my also mom threw me out, again. Where Noah? '
She rambles softly about her mom throwing her out, the hammered pretty-boy wrapping an arm around her shoulder. Intensely and very snippy like, she shoves his arm off of her bare and pale shoulders. Sunny ridicules her with a laugh, Serina cringing at the smell of liquor on him.
" I was gonna give ya another chance, "
' For what-? '
" If you insist to know- "
' -i don't. Im here to have a fun time. Talk to people. Where the hell is my brother so i can talk to him too? '
Ignoring her question, he continues.
"im hooked up with the new girl. Beautiful, ain't she?"
He turns to another direction to rest his eyes on Melanie, the newer girl in her private school who was heading up the staircase to get to the bathroom. Serina scrunches her nose. She smells the bullshit. The girl couldn't of been a college student, she didnt look it nor did she seem to be it. It was complete bullshit. The two were barely talking and occasionally have maybe spotted each other every now and then, but not official.
' whatever. . . shes in it for the drugs. You thought I came for another chance? You should know I have better standards. '
" I thought you finally realized what you were missing out on. You know, her and I are a thing.. A real thing. She's a fun one too. Although, she'd probably scare a god-child like you. Shes all you aren't. She doses with me, actually fucks me-,
' -this is exactly why I fucking avoid you. This isn't about us! This isn't about- some petty payback. If its anything about us, it's about you wanting every girl that denies you sex.
Instead of simply moving aside he tries to pull a move, an arm wrapping around the smaller girls waist, a dense type of hold. She grows uncomfortable quickly,
" you're going to miss me eventually you know. You haven't had anyone else since me. "
' You disgust me. Your new 'girlfriend' is in the bathroom, getting sick. Allow me to do your job for you. 'Serina pushes her weight into him, he lets go after being knocked into the wall and she goes to help the soon-to-be Sunny's next victim before it could happen.
Huffing after the rush up the stairs, she knocks. The door squeals and slides open, a gothic but godess-ly themed woman now retching and dry heaving over the toilet. It'd be rude for her to leave her like this- Serina wasn't inhumane enough to let the girl suffer. She steps in and grabs a towel for the sick other,
' Here,, for your troubles.. '
