"He tried to get rid of me. Kill me, whatever you want to call it."

I had so many questions, and that may have been obvious because she laughed.

"Let's talk about it in the break room." I nodded and followed her, my heart pounding in my chest. So he was hiding something. But he dared to touch her ? I will never forgive him.

"Well." She said as she sat and drank some soda she mad appear out of nowhere.

"The other night, I was on my way home. Strangely, I felt like I was being followed." I nodded and almost held my breath.

"I turned around, but there was nobody, classic scenario. So what happens next?" How could she talk about it so lightly ?

"He was right in front of you ?" She nodded and slammed the soda on the table.

"Yes. Do you realize that I was overpowered on such a stupid move ?? Me." She sighed. So, to her, it was just some pride ??

"But--you look badly injured. What happened ??" I pointed at her fresh bandages.

"Her knocked me out. Luckily, I had the time to send an alert, and he panicked. He had the time to kick me, hit me, and he..." Her gaze met the ceiling.

"He almost pierced through my heart with a knife. Do you realize ?" My jaw went wide open, and I felt the anger rise once more in my body.

"What ??! What did you even do ??"

"I heard him say that I could be a potential obstacle in his...plans." I frowned. What plans ?? Wait. I'm in danger. He's already done that before. Getting rid of the people around me...

"I'm feeling better, no worries. We have the best clinic here." She chuckled lightly. I could feel she was used to being attacked...what a sad life.

"So you didn't heat about -" She cut me off.

"I did. And I also know about the fact that you have nowhere to stay. Blade won't let you stay at his house. For...personal reasons, he said." She scoffed.

"I'll try to talk to him because sending guards over your house would most likely be useless to protect you." I shivered. Could I be trapped ? Was he winning again?

"Hey, you'll be fine. By the way." She looked at me and raised her finger as she sipped on her coke.

"Kafka isn't allowed to keep you in her house. She did it because she had no choice. Y'know the superiors are quite...wary." I know Silver Wolf would not lie... Kafka is on my side, after all ?

"Is that so ? I'm glad to hear that in a way..." I sighed, relieved, and smiled.

"I feel better, I hope you are feeling fine as well. Please be careful."

She laughed. Was she really this calm about this?

"I'll get going now. Sadly, you are forced to stay with Owl. The superiors want him to explain himself with you."

"But he told me he asked for us to stay together ?" That's where I realized.

"See. He's a liar." Fuck. Not even 3 hours spent together, and he already managed to brainwash me... He still got a hold on me. I'm stronger. I'm stronger.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine. We're watching you." She smiled and waved as I felt a cold shiver along my spine.

"Y/N..." There we go again. I'm sick of him.

"You know what ? I don't want to know." I walked past him and bumped into him.

"Yeah, sure...When everything points that you lied ?!" I stopped in my track and turned to face him angrily.

"Stop it. Stop with your stupid nicknames, your lies, bullshit. ALL OF IT."

He looked down and smirked strangely.

"Ha...hahaha...They're smarter than I thought...those fuckers !" He laughed hysterically. I knew it.

"They got me. Yeah. You got me, too." He shrugged and looked at me with those terrifying eyes.

"You—" He ran up to me. He was going to attack me, wasn't he ?

"I won't let you go, surrender already !"

I jumped back and avoided his icy attack. I almost took a piece of ice in my chest.

"Stop fighting back... you need me ! You want me !" He appeared behind me, and I knew he was still holding back his full capacities, which was what scared me the most.

I turned around and tried to defend myself before he could reach me.

As Y/N faced I Owl, the air crackled with tension. I was gripping my blade, hitting everything that he could throw at me. With every strike, I felt myself weaken more and more.

"Almost there...! Yeah ??" He laughed and made a pistol out of ice. He had blocked my legs without me noticing it, the cold chains freezing my feets slowly.

"LET ME GO." I tried to move, but the ice was getting more and more thick on the floor below me.

"Finally... we'll be reunited." He smiled, and all I heard was the gunshot before feeling a harsh pain in my waist.

Everything got blurry and dark, I saw a familiar figure walking up to Owl. My ears were ringing, and I couldn't hear much. Owl was yelling, and once more, I heard swords clashing in the corridors.

"Do you think that she will wake up soon ?" Silver Wolf ?

"If her body allows it, yes. She's been better." Who was that ?

"I'll let her be."

"Oh, you're here too...? Pfft." Who was she laughing at ? Suddenly, I felt the pain in my waist come back. As much as I hated it. I knew I was alive.

"Ugh..."

I opened my eyes slowly and grunted. Since when was I asleep ? The light was hurting my eyes, and I looked around. Was that a hospital? Every move made me in pain, and I rubbed my eyes.

"I'm really alive..." I smiled to myself and turned my head to notice Blade. He was sitting on a chair beside my bed, his eyes closed. I must be dreaming...
