(Y/N's pov)

My heart simply dropped. Don't tell me he...?
I saw Kafka smile a bit too much, did she organize that ? My ex, right here, in the same division as us ?
He must have told her, and of course she fully accepted, huh.
I tried to look at Blade but he totally ignored it and the reunion went by, horribly.
« It's nice to meet you ! » My ex was introducing himself to everyone and most likely to Kafka. He planted a kiss on her hand, which made Blade frown and Kafka laugh.
Suddenly I felt someone thug on my shirt, Silver Wolf.
« Hey, are you okay ? You look pale, pal. » She looked a bit worried and before I could answer I heard him.
« I missed you, sweetheart. » He rubbed my shoulders. I knew what he tried to do. He wanted to give the best impression, so that my colleagues would falsify my words if something happened.
« So that is your boyfriend ? »
Kafka said, with an displeasing smile, followed closely by Blade.
« No, we aren't—»
« I am trying to get her back. » he said with a chuckle.
I glared at him. How dare he ? I kicked him in the ribs and he flinched.
I saw Silver Wolf look at me. She knew who he was, from the look I gave her.
« How cute. » Kafka started to walk away, followed by Blade, who glared at me, he almost tried to pierce my face with his eyes.
« Let's get to work. » Silver Wolf saved me right now and I owned her one.
« Can I come with you guys to see ? » he rubbed his ribs in pain and put on his best i-am-nice smile.
« No, newbie. You have to wait and see with who you are assigned. » She answered coldly and I thought : take this.
On that, we left and I haven't seen him all day, as well as Blade. Wait. Do I miss him ? NO. He's my colleague so it's normal for me to think about him, isn't it ?

« Oh, you're somewhere else aren't ya ? » Sliver Wolf's voice snapped me back to reality.
« Not at all, just thinking. » I tried to sound as neutral as I could.
« Not to me. » She laughed. Of course it didn't work.
« ... »
« You're thinking about Blade, aren't you ? »
« You mean, her supposed new boyfriend ? » Uh-oh. How did he find us, we were walking together outside after work ?
« What ? » Silver Wolf turned around to see this dumbass. I totally forgot Blade pretended to be my boyfriend the other night. Sliver Wolf was about to burst out laughing.
I felt my cheeks get hot.
« Isn't it the case, sweetie ? » He was towering over me and I felt embarrassed.
« Who cares ? » Silver Wolf took me by the arm and dragged me away with her. I OWNED HER TWO.
« HAHAHAHA—I NEED SOME EXPLANATIONS. » She was almost rolling on the floor when we got back in the building to take a coffee.
I totally forgot to precise the part where he pretended to be my boyfriend, in addition to protecting me.
« Well, you heard it... »

-After some looong explanations-
« I—wait so...Blade pretended to be your boyfriend ??? »
« Yes, I told you already. »
« You realize something right ? » She rubbed her eyes and sounded serious.
« W-what ? »
« He must really appreciate you. Blade is Blade and he is grumpy. I found the fact that he accepted to go help you fast weird, that's why. » she started to laugh again.
« Certainly not, he totally dumped me as if I was the biggest annoyance in the world this morning. » I said it with a sad voice, maybe too sad.
« Mmh...so you were together last night after all ? » She winked at me.
« Hey...! Don't start to think about weird things, nothing happened, hear me ? » Again I tried to stay as neutral as possible.
« Pfft—I won't buy that ! » She kept laughing and stopped to take a chewing gum from her pocket.
« You know, I've known Blade for quite a while now and i've never seen him as flustered as this morning. »
« How can you notice everything due to BLADE'S ATTITUDE ? » I felt my cheeks get hot. She just discovered everything without me telling her. Those Stellaron Hunters really are smart.
« Heh. You just admitted. »
Suddenly, we're heard a door open and the worst person at the wrong time, Blade.
« Can't you two be a bit more quiet ? » He sounded harsh.
« Hey, don't take your anger on us, Blade. » Silver Wolf sounded serious now. The tension was cold.
He got closer and glared at us. He seriously was in a bad mood. I did nothing to anger him. At least, I tried.
« It's that isn't it ? » What was she talking about ?
Blade simply nodded and left. Now, it was quiet and Silver Wolf just left, waving goodbye. He ruined the atmosphere.

-Two hours later-
I felt someone shake me gently. I couldn't have fallen asleep ?
« Wake up, sweetheart... » Owl's voice was ringing in my head and I didn't want to wake up and see him.
I had no choice but to open my eyes, there he was, standing right in front of me.
« I should go home. » I got up and rubbed my eyes, I started to walk away but he caught my arm.
« Sweetheart...why are you like this to me, hm ? » He sounded so hypocritical.
« Because you—! »
« Shh... » Kafka was standing behind us and looked quite worried.
« Can you go talk somewhere else ? Blade is having a hard time. » What did she mean ? Was he sick ?
Owl dragged me away in a hallway and i tried to free myself but I couldn't. He blocked me against a wall.
« I don't want to have this talk, Sweetheart. » He looked angry and was examining my face.
« Then why would you ask ? » I couldn't do anything, he was getting closer and closer.
I was repulsed by him, did he think I would forgive him ?
« Run while you still can, sweetheart, soon you'll be mine again. » He kissed me on the cheek and left. I felt nauseous. I was right, he wasn't all angelic when coming here.
« Y/N . »
It was Kafka again, what a coincidence.
« We will be organizing a little party in my house, tomorrow night you are free to go, if you wish. » She put on her best hypocritical smile and left.
I gritted my teeth. I hated the way she looked down on me.

I got home at 5 P.M. All I wanted to do was to lie in bed and relax. I remembered that I had to ask Silver Wolf for Kafka's coordinates. Yes, I was going, and confidently.
I was about to check my phone when I received a text from...Blade ?
