chapter twelve

-"hello the two lovers ! how was that sleep ?~" he was teasing Kel and Sunny, who almost chocked on his pills because he was got off guard.
-"ugh, please don't, Hero." Kel playfully rolled his eyes, while Sunny finished taking his pills.
-"when will be the first kiss huh ?"
-"Heroooo...!" Kel was starting to get embarrassed, and so Sunny did. he buried his face into his arms, to hide how is pale face went red.
-"i want nieces and nephews." Hero joked. Kel's face went even redder and so it did for Sunny.
-"Hero !! we can't have children and we're dating only since yesterday !" Kel said, faking being annoyed and angry. Hero chuckled and nudged his brother's shoulder
-"i'm just messing with you two, and i think it made Sunny completely embarrassed." because Sunny has his face still buried in his arm, blushing profusely. the tan boy walked toward his boyfriend and he stroked his hair.
-"hey Sunshine, he's just playing around !" he chuckled at the sight of his boyfriend being red like a tomato, but he hugged him after.
-"i know..."

after a while, Hero had to leave for the day, leaving Kel and Sunny alone. obviously, they spend their morning and noon inside the house, chilling, playing games, talking.. in the afternoon, they went to the park, at the lake. they met with Aubrey on the way on but everything went fine, but ever since the discharging day from the hospital, a week ago, they haven't heard from Basil, and the fact that AUBREY came yesterday to give BASIL's camera to SUNNY, something must be wrong. Sunny wanted to talk about this to Kel, but when he was about to, his phone rang. he took it out to see his mother calling.
-"just a minute.." Sunny said to Kel, and he nodded, smiling warmly.
-"hello ? mother ?"
-"hi sweetheart ! me and your father will be home before tomorrow.. we may get back in the evening ! make sure to be home when we're back, we really missed you."
-"okay.. hum... what hour approximately ?"
-"around 6 and 8pm !"
-"okay.. ill be home by 6..."
-"that's all ! see you soon, love you !"
and Sunny hanged up. he went back toward Kel and he sat next to him.
-"i have to go back home in 15 minutes."
-"awh really ? that's okay ! i can walk you back home in some minutes." Kel smiled at Sunny. the pale boy just leaned his head on Kel's shoulder. the taller boy kissed the smallest boy's hair, and started to stroke them gently. then Sunny removed his head from Kel's shoulder and he looked at him, wanting a lip kiss, his first one.
-"poljubi me." (kiss me.) Sunny said in his native language. Kel didn't understood at first, but understood after Sunny pointed his lips, and then his own. Kel's cheeks went red but he did as Sunny asked. he gently took his boyfriend's chin, lifting it up a bit, and leaned in, giving Sunny his first lip kiss ever. a full of love and passionate kiss. Sunny smiled when they broke the kiss, and he felt happy, really happy.
-"how was it ?" Kel asked curiously.
-"amazing..." he warmly smiled, and held Kel's hand. they stayed like that, feet in the lake, talking together, laughing... a sweet moment for the two boys. but after that wholesome moment, it was time for Sunny to go back home since a long time. Kel looked at the time on his phone. 6:08pm.
-"want me to walk you back home ? it's a bit past 6..."
-"i'd love to, and it's okay if it's past 6.."
the two boys stood up, and they started to walk toward Sunny's house.

-"thank you for walking me back home."
-"it's not problems, Sunshine !" he gave Sunny a big hug and and gentle lip kiss again, before waving at him and going back to his place too. Sunny saw that the car was there, meaning his father was there too. he took a deep breath and he stepped inside, and unfortunately... the first person he had to see, was his father, in the living room.
-"Rebecca, Sunny's there !" his father said, but he looked at him in a such.. hateful way. the tension was already building. Sunny saw his mother coming out the kitchen, and she hugged her son, that she hasn't seen in 2 months.
-"Sunny ! i'm so happy to see you again. how are you ? did you take care of yourself ?"
-"yes, mother. i did. i'm okay." he said with his monotone voice this time, changing completely from the tone he had earlier with Kel.
-"great ! where were you ? you weren't there when we arrived."
-"i was with Kel."
-"ohh that's amazing ! how is he doing ?" Sunny was getting annoyed by his mother's endless questions, and the fact that his father was looking at him in a such judgmental way, made him even more annoyed.
-"he's doing great like always."
-"i'm glad to hear this ! i'll let you now, i'll finish cooking." and his mother finally went back in the kitchen, and he was praying the his father would've ignored, but he started to walk towed him.
-"nemojte misliti da sam se promenio. ti nisi moj sin, i nikada nećes biti."(don't think i've changed. you're not my son, and you never will be.) he spoke serbian, as only Sunny was able to speak serbian and to understand it, and Sunny's father is a serbian. Rebecca, Sunny's mother, only understood basic things, and wasn't able to understand a full conversation.
-"znam, nisam pitao da li si se promenio ili ne."(i know, i didn't asked if you changed or not.) Sunny responded with his monotone voice.
-"samo čekaj kad ti majka sutra bude na poslu."(just wait until your mother is at work tomorrow.)
-"da, kao i uvek. da li ste ikada razmišljali da ponovo nađete posao ?"(yeah, like always. have you ever thought about finding a job again ?)
Sunny kept responding to his father, as he well knows that he shouldn't, because he'll "regret". he knows that tomorrow, his father will as always: yell at him for everything, like he did for 4 years.
-"imam jedan, idiote. sad nemoj da me nerviraš."(i have one, you idiot. now don't annoy me.) Sunny sighed and rolled his eyes, he went upstairs, in his bedroom. he laid on his bed, looking at the white ceiling above him, getting his mind off of his parents that were back home again.
