"How many times do I have to say it?" Kang Taehyun raised his voice, sounding more pleading than angry.
He had successfully completed the interview a few hours ago, but his day was far from over. Afterwards, singing lessons had been waiting for him, which Taehyun had only been able to finish after three hours and the loving care of his manager Kai, who had brought him hot tea. In the next sixty minutes, which were actually part of his 'free time', Taehyun had gone to the gym, although you would have thought that his time in the rehearsal room, where he had done his dance exercises, would have completely filled his sports schedule.
Taehyun was tired, exhausted and quite stressed because of everything that was going on. That's why he was no longer able to reason with his boss.
"I can't just take anyone," he tried to explain to his boss again.
He showed a mixture of annoyance and misunderstanding and let the pen in his hand hit the surface of the table. Over and over again and certainly not in rhythm. The entertainment chairman seemed stressed and this was certainly due to the young singer he had been looking after for years. He had known Taehyun since he was a teenager and in that time his employee had grown into a self-confident young man who knew what he wanted. Sometimes he even gave him the nickname 'stubborn', but he had always done an excellent job so far.
Taehyun counted as one of his favorites, which is why the head of Qiqi Entertainment had to be patient.
"All right, Taehyun," he said in a low voice and smiled gently. "I trust your judgment and hope you'll let me know soon that you've found someone. If not, we'll find other solutions."
Somewhat caught off guard by this change of mood, Taehyun blinked perplexedly, but was extremely grateful and relieved, which is why he bowed to his boss several times and grabbed his hand with both hands. "I won't let you down," Taehyun assured him and was also aware that he would definitely keep this promise.
If there was a woman who suited him at all.
With a slightly lighter heart, Taehyun left the office and his gaze fell directly on Kai. His tall manager had probably found another snack machine and made himself comfortable there. As he approached, he informed Kai that he had managed to convince the boss.
"Let's go straight to the recording studio," said Taehyun as soon as he was within earshot of Kai.
Kai immediately jumped to his feet, a few crumbs falling from his clothes. He brushed the leftover food off his trousers and joined the singer. "You see, you're more important to him than what the marketing crew says," Kai said, shrugging his shoulders. "Our boss already knows how to keep his people happy. Most of the time, anyway."
The two of them walked on together and headed for the elevator.
"Have I ever mentioned how good your optimism is for me?" Taehyun replied at first, smiling at his companion. "We both know that he only lets me have my way because the album will be really good. And bring in revenue."
