Chapter 30

The atmosphere was always lively in the company's spacious rooms, where Taehyun and Huening Kai worked together on new songs and projects. That evening, they were in the entertainment studio, listening to and discussing some of the latest demo recordings. Taehyun was focused on the music and the tasks ahead of them, but he still couldn't quite stop thinking about Kai's date with Sooji. He smiled to himself as he pictured the two of them and realized how well they fit together. Kai and Sooji seemed to complement each other really well, and it was obvious that they liked each other. And Taehyun couldn't help but be happy for Kai. It was nice to see how his friend had found someone he was so happy with. At least his manager was beaming from ear to ear when it came to the singer.

However, Kai didn't seem to want to stop talking about it either.

And as happy as Taehyun was for his buddy, he just wanted to work with said girls and concentrate on his album. Because his own time was flying by at the moment and he hadn't had a chance to meet up with Gumi.

Which weighed heavily on Taehyun's mind, especially after the kiss and the incident in his apartment.

"I'm going to the toilet for a minute," he said to Kai, stood up and left his workplace.

Taehyun headed towards the restrooms, but as he passed the recording studios, he could hear a familiar voice.

It was Sooji's, who seemed to be coming from one of the recording studios.

Curious and attracted by the atmosphere of the studio, he quietly approached the door and listened. Sooji's voice sounded warm and inviting, and it was as if the music itself was resonating through her words. The notes seemed to move through the air, like a gentle breeze softly touching the soul. Her singing was filled with emotion, and she seemed to interpret every note with heart and soul. It was as if her voice brought the lyrics to life and the words came straight from her heart. Sooji's vocal skills were impressive, and they added a certain magic to the song that Taehyun couldn't help but notice. It was as if she was telling a story that mesmerized every listener, and her melody was like an enchanting sound that enlivened the senses. Taehyun couldn't help but be swept away by Sooji's singing and he realized that she possessed an extraordinary talent.

Thoughts of how much potential there was in their collaboration filled his head, and he could feel the anticipation for the upcoming album growing. Taehyun couldn't wait to step into the studio and work with Sooji on the song that the world had never heard before.

But he also knew that she felt uncomfortable singing in front of others. Taehyun leaned against the wall next to the door and listened until she finished. He wanted to wait for her to come out on her own. When the voice faded, he could hear the rustling of movement in the room. The muffled sounds left no doubt that Sooji was preparing to head out. He took a step back so as not to startle the girl as the blade was pushed down.

But then time seemed to stop.

Everything became slow motion as the door gradually opened. When it opened wide enough to see inside the room, Taehyun expected to see Sooji's face. But to his surprise and confusion, it wasn't the girl in question who stepped out of the studio.
