Glimpse Of Hope

Cadet Corps Part 2

Y/N would wake up early the next day and would get dressed,before quietly sneaking out of his cabin. He would look out and see the training grounds empty before he would stretch before walking on to the training grounds and running a couple of laps before walking away into a forest. He would walk around the forest as he would catch certain spots that caught his interest. He would find a lake with a beautiful view and a place where all the trees seemed to have life with different colors all around them and a field with different kinds of flowers. But he would head back to the camp as he would hear the bell causing him to sigh as he would leave and head to the mess hall where he would eat with Eren,Mikasa and Armin before they would out for their first training session that would determine if they become soldiers or not

Shadis: Listen here maggots! This is your first test! If anyone is unable to do this they will be sent to the fields!

Cadets were going up and trying to balance as Eren and Y/N would wait in line and look at all the cadets with Mikasa catching everyone's eye as she balanced perfectly. As cadets were passing and failing Eren and Y/N were called up. Once they clipped their gear they would be raised into the air

Y/N: " Man this is easy. How do people fail this? I wonder how Eren is do-"

Y/N thoughts would be cut as he would hear a loud crash as he would look to his side to see Eren upside down

Shadis: What are you doing Yeager! Pick yourself up and get this done!

Eren:" How.. How do you use this thing? This can't be happening! Not now!

Y/N would sigh before he was lowered along side Eren as they would get back into the crowd with Y/N looking at Eren with a worried look and Eren have a face of fear

Dawn after everyone went in the training grounds

Eren,Y/N,Mikasa and Armin are by the ODM gear practicing with Eren being in the center with everyone trying to help him

Mikasa: Just stick to the basics and you should be fine. Don't try anything fancy,just balance and stay centered. And slowly rest your weight on your hips and feet.

Armin: Stay calm and you can do it. If I can do it then so can you.

Y/N: Just relax and loosen up. Don't overthink it.

Eren: Okay, I think I can do it! Raise me up,Armin!

Armin would nod and raise Eren up but Eren would fall flat on his face. And everyone taking him to the nurse's office. And after recovering he would be taken to the mess hall with people talking about him

Franz: Hey,Daz. Isn't that the kid that said he would kill every Titan?

Daz: Yeah. But he'll be off to the fields tomorrow. We can't be giving food to the weak.

Y/N would look at the two before looking at Eren with something catching his attention

Y/N: "Why is his head steaming? " Eren how you feeling?

Armin: There's no point in worrying. You just have to figure it out tomorrow.

Eren: I'm pathetic.. I'll never be able to kill them like this.

Y/N: I'm gonna head out.

Eren: Huh, where are you going?

Y/N: A little walk. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. And goodluck Eren I know you can do it. Goodnight.

Eren: Thanks. And goodnight.

Armin/Mikasa: Goodnight.

Y/N would leave his spot before walking out of the mess hall and walking to the edge of the forest before looking around if anyone was around,Before running into the forest and running to where he saw the trees earlier in the day. He would spot the trees before he would get on top of one and resting,losing all thoughts he had and just having a clear mind and humming a song that came into mind as he sat down looking at the trees around him before closing his eyes and unknowingly falling asleep. Y/N would wake up and look around him and sees he was still on top of the tree before he would get off the tree and walk out of the forest and looking up at the sky to see dawn coming up as he would walk to the mess hall and sit down until hearing the bell as everyone would begin to walk in with Eren,Mikasa and Armin sitting down with Y/N
