Grisha: " That naive day of my youth...when I...had to face the truth of the world."

Grisha and Fay walk around town nervous as people eye them until a man bumps into Grisha

Men: Move it, you vermin. What, more devil blood? Damn Eldians crawling around as they please.

The men leave

Fay: Grisha...

Grisha: It's alright. Aren't you used to it? Look. It's right over that bank.

Grisha and Fay look at a path and begin walking towards it. After a while the two see what they were looking for and see the airship, Grisha looks at Fay smiles, causing him to smile

Fay: It's so big...

???: Have you come to the airship, too?

Grisha looks down a hill and sees to officers

Grisha: Huh? Uh, yes...

Grisha and Fay slowly back up

Officer: You from the Liberio Internment Zone? Let's see your exit permits.

Grisha: Huh? Umm...

Grisha looks around his pockets and looks up to see the two officers glaring at them

Grisha: I don't have one.

Officer: You entered the city without permission? You know what that means, right?

One of the officers walks forward to the two and kneel to their height

Officer: Labor or punishment. Which is it?

Grisha: Punishment...

Fay: Grisha!

Officer: Oh? You don't want to trouble your parents?

Grisha: Yes. I forced my sister to come with me! Please give her punishment to me, too!

Officer: Very well.

The officer grabs Grisha and knees him

Fay: Grisha!

Officer: Here's another!

Captain: Man. go easy on him, Kruger. Come on, let's get you on your way home.

The second officer escorts Fay away from Kruger as he continues to beat Grisha. After awhile Kruger sits down on the grass and smokes as Grisha holds his stomach

Kruger: It was smart not to take off your armbands. Eldians without one are sent to Paradise, even if they're kids.

Grisha: I'll...go home.

Kruger: Wait. Didn't you come to see the airship? Might as well see it.

Grisha looks at the airship

Grisha: "The following day, my sister was found in the river. "

Grisha and his family look at Fay's body, before being taking to their home as an officer explains to them what happened

Officer: I showed the girl the Liberio gates and went on my way. I'm busy with work, you know. Eldian kids shouldn't be roaming around the city without permits in the first place. It seems that your son doesn't grasp the place of his people. Shouldn't you be teaching him the sins that your ancestors committed? If that's not enough to make him behave, put a collar on him.

Grisha: "I knew that man from Marley Public Safety Office was lying through his teeth. He had been slacking off and was napping on the bank. He wasn't busy at all. Though my mother grieved, my father..."
