In the cavern
Historia: Oh, you're awake. I'm glad. Just hang on for a bit you'll be okay.
Eren: "At least Historia is alright."
Historia: Eren, listen to me. My father has always been humanity's ally, his only goal is to keep the people inside the walls safe. It's clear now that we misunderstood. It's true that he went after the Scouts, and his servants did kill Pastor Nick, but he did that because he had no choice. Everything he's done is for the sake of humanity.
Rod: Thank you, Historia. Let me explain the rest.
Rod walks behind Historia
Eren: "Everything is coming back to me. The last thing I remember is the two of them. How long has it been? Captain, Armin what happened to the Scouts?"
Eren looks around the entire cavern to see multiple crystal pillars spending across for a long distance
Eren: "What are these pillars? It just seems like they keep on going. I can't even tell if it's day or night. Wait, this place, it feels familiar. Haven't I been to this place before?"
Rod and Historia walk up some stairs and make there way towards Eren
Rod: What's wrong? This is the first time you've come here. Though, it would be strange if you recognize it.
Eren: "What does he mean by that?"
Rod reaches his hand towards Eren's back before Historia stops him
Historia: F-Father, could you explain to Eren.
Rod: Yes, I intended to. However, there's something I want to try first. If we do this, he may remember all on his own without a word from us.
Rod and Historia reach there hands and touch Eren's back as he begins to see memories of a family in the same room
Eren: "What...is this? These aren't things I've seen... No! Whose memories are these!? The key! Is this? It can't be... "
Eren sees the memories of a family as well as a Titan hand grabbing a boy and sees a Titan inside the same cavern, before seeing a chapel in ruins and flames and sees a soldier and himself and begins to recognize whose memories they belong to
Eren: "Dad?"
Rod: Do you remember? You're fathers sins...
In a ranch years ago
Frieda: You're amazing, Historia! Look how well you can read now!
Historia: That's only because you taught me so much!
Frieda: Hey, we can't have this. You've got a runny nose. You need to learn to be more ladylike, Historia.
Frieda reaches into her bag and takes out a tissue and places it in front of Histoira's face
Frieda: Here, blow.
Historia blows her nose
Frieda: Good! Very well done!
Historia: Hey.
Frieda: Hmm?
Historia: What does being ladylike mean?
Frieda: Well, I suppose being ladylike means a lot like this girl in your book.
Historia: Krista?
Frieda: Right, You like Krista, too, don't you, Historia?
Historia: Yeah.
Frieda: Krista is always thinking about other people because she's so kind. You should try to be like Krista, too. The world is full of pain and suffering, so you should live in a way to be helpful and loved by everybody.
