Civilian 1: That’s a lot of wagons. What’s that about?

Civilian 2: You don’t know? All the military higher-ups are meeting up in the castle to disband the Scout Regiment.  They’re building those gallows to hang the Commander. I bet he’s getting his final judgment as we speak. 

Inside the castle 

Erwin: If humanity loses the Scout Regiment, that means humanity has lost its spear. That will be a loss to humanity as it leaves them a shield, but that spear that eliminates the enemy is no more. Suppose in this very moment that Wall Rose is breached. Once again half of the population would be forced to flee, but this time to Wall Sina. But the earlier evacuations left stockpiles with no more than a few days at best. And when they run out in the blink of an eye, locals and refugees would be forced to fight for survival. Wall Rose and Wall Sina… All of humanity would split and a civil war would erupt. Even if the walls aren’t breached again. Wall Rose is continually suffering from a food shortage. It might not be Titans that will breach Wall Sina, There’s a chance that the residents of Wall Rose will do it first… Wall Maria must be reclaimed if humanity is to have any hope for the future, that is the only way.

: And you think that the Scouts are needed for such a cause?

Erwin: Are duty as Scouts has always been to charge forth at the enemy. Cowering away in these walls will solve nothing. That’s my belief unless you have some secret plan to overcome the ordeal? 

Aurille: Ahem. Commander it seems that you misunderstand what this is. The reason we brought you here is to not discuss our future within the walls nor as something as simple as a murder. Clause six of the charter of humanity one must never prioritize their own gain over humanity's survival. You have broken the most sacred of laws.

Gerald: indeed, you have refused to hand over Eren Yeager on multiple occasions and through that selfish action violated the Charter. 

Erwin: But Eren is vital for reclaiming Wall Maria! 

Noble: That is not for the Scouts to determine! Eren Yeager is a Titan whose abilities are far from understood! To have him inside the walls is putting the whole of humanity at risk. And the idea of having a single commander have control of him is ridiculous.

Aurille: And yet, you stubbornly persisted in some plans of yours. Not only did you feign his abduction and conceal Eren Yeager,but you silenced Dimo Reeves since he knew too much. This amounts to treason.   

Priest: It’s not hard to describe you as a threat to humanity. 

Gerald: Commander Pyxis.

Pyxis: Hmm?

Gerald: The Garrison and Scout Regiment both risk their lives in the front line. How do we know that you're not working together?  

Pyxis: I am deeply disturbed that you believe that we align  ourselves with the Scout Regiment. There is nothing more senseless than humans killing each other. In this cramped world that we humans have, one spark will engulf all in no time. Just before the battle to retake Trost began I said as much as the men I led, and then sent hundreds to their deaths. If the Scout Regiment is that spark then it should be smothered at once. 

Nile looks at Pyxis in shock

Pyxis: Think about it. What if the Titans did break through the wall and find next to no one inside it. The poor monster might go hungry. 

Gerald breaks out a laugh and stops himself
Gerald: Very well then. Let’s begin the liberation.
