Chapter 12: Brandy

"Okay guys we're almost finished," Thomas said while painting his picture of his sisters. "How long do we have to sit here?" Bluey complained "yeah! I'm bored!" Bingo added. "Hey you guys asked me to do this and I told you it's going to take some time," Thomas said with a chuckle. The girls then sighed.

"Look, how about I play with you after I finish this?" Thomas suggested as he looked over his canvas as his younger half sisters. "You promise?" Bingo asked her brother while trying to sit still. "I promise," Thomas said with a smile. Meanwhile, Chilli was in the house stressing to herself while cleaning the house. "Hey babe what's wrong?" Bandit asked looking up from his book to look at his wife.  "Bandit could help me pick up the house so we can get dinner started before Brandy gets here?" Chilli asked her husband.

"Brandy's coming over?" Bandit asked confused as he started to help clean the house with his wife. "Yes! So please help me with this!" Chilli said as she got on one end of the couch in the living room. "Okay!" Bandit replied as he got on the other end of the couch and flipped it up to reveal various items caught in the dust.

"Yikes, that could use a clean..." Bandit replied before he shook his head, "So why are you cleaning the house for your sister?" He asked as he watched his wife sweep up the dust found underneath the couch. "It-it's been since I've seen her," Chilli said nervously "oh! Then... we better Thomas his aunts coming," Bandit said. "Gosh she hasn't even met him yet, she's only since pictures and well... what we told her about him," Chilli replied, still feeling nervous.

Bandit walked over and grabbed both of his wife hands and held them in his, "Chilli, it's going to be okay. I'll be right there to help you with anything." He said as he gazed into her eyes. "Thanks babe," Chilli said as she gave her husband a kiss on his muzzle. Bandit blushed with a smile and he looked at her. "Looking good mate!" Pat said from the backyard where the kids were. "I better check what that's about," Bandit said as he went to check on his kids and best friend.

Chilli chuckled as she watched her husband walk out into the kitchen, Bandit walked out into the backyard to see what his children were up to and to see what was becoming getting the next door neighbors' attention. "What do we have here?" Bandit asked as he crossed his arms. "Bluey needed a painting for show and tell and Bingo wanted to be apart of it," Thomas explained as he placed the finishing touch's  on the painting. "Your son's very talented mate! He really had Emily's talent," Pat said patting Bandit on his shoulder. "Well, he may have my rugged good looks, but he got Emily's brains." Bandit replied with a chuckle as he patted the yellow Labrador Retriever on the shoulder.

"And finished!" Thomas said with a smile. "Finally!" The girls said as they went to look at the picture. Thomas rolled his eyes and shook his head with a smile at his little sister's antics, "Okay girls, I did promise I would play with you." The Heeler-Husky mix said as he got up and dusted himself off. "Actually mate, I need to talk you about something," Bandit said stopping his son. "Oh, okay, I'll be back girls, and don't touch the painting! It needs to dry!" Thomas ordered his sisters "we won't!" Both girls said. "I'll catch you later mate!" Pat said as he started to make his way back home. "Alright dad I'm free to talk," Thomas said as he looked at his father.

Suddenly, Thomas noticed the expression on his father's face was anxious, and so he suspected that there might be something wrong, "Dad, is everything okay?" He asked, bracing himself for any bad news his father might have in store. "Mate, your Aunt Brandy is coming over for dinner to night," Bandit said rubbing the back of his neck. "My aunt who?" Thomas asked raising an eyebrow. "She's Chilli's sister mate, and your aunt by marriage," Bandit explained. Thomas then crossed his arms. "Oh? I didn't know I had an Aunt or that Chilli had a sister," Thomas said confused.
