Arjun's POV
In the the car, Shruthi leaned towards Lea with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Lea, I've got a secret to share!" she whispered, her excitement bubbling.
Lea leaned in, equally intrigued. "Tell me Anni! What's the big secret?"
Shruthi, unable to contain herself, suddenly exclaimed, "I have a crush on Arjun!" She then leaned back, grinning widely, as if she had just shared the biggest secret.
I couldn't help but chuckle as I continued driving, stealing a glance at Lea, who burst into laughter. "Shruthi, I think that secret might not be so secret anymore," Lea teased.
As the car continued its journey, my Shruthi continued listing off the things she liked about me.
"Well, for starters," she began, her gaze dreamy, "he's incredibly passionate about his work. It's like watching him light up when he talks about it."
Undeterred, Shruthi listed off the things she liked about me. "He's got those intense eyes, and his smile is just... wow."
Lea smirked, nudging me. "Sounds like a pretty great catch."
I couldn't help but chuckle at Shruthi's animated confessions. "Well, at least I know I'm appreciated."
She nodded enthusiastically. "And he's got this mysterious vibe, you know? Like there's always more to discover about him. Keeps things exciting!"
I glanced at her with a smile and said, "Mysterious, huh? I'll take that as a compliment."
Shruthi leaned in further close to Lea but I could still hear her, "And have you seen how he looks when he's concentrating? It's like he's solving the mysteries of the universe. Super attractive!"
Lea burst into laughter."I've never heard someone describe concentration as attractive, but I'm on board with it."
Shruthi playfully added, "Oh, and he's got this way of making you feel like you're the most important person in the room. It's like his superpower or something."
Smiling at her words, I glanced at her. "Well, you're definitely the most important person in my world."
Lea joined in, teasingly adding, "I'll make sure to keep this secret safe, but you might want to work on your whispering skills."
As the car rumbled on, Shruthi's curious mind took a sudden turn as she turned to me, "Arjun, do you have a girlfriend?" she asked innocently.
Caught off guard, I shot a quick glance at Lea, who wore a puzzled expression. "Uh, no. I don't have a girlfriend," I replied.
Lea, with a smirk, decided to play along, adding, "He's got something even better. Arjun here is married."
Shruthi's face, once filled with curiosity, suddenly fell. A hush fell over us, and the playfulness in her expression seemed dim as I saw the disappointment in her eyes.
