𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 {𝗗.𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱}

𝟭𝟰. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 {𝗔𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲}

Derek's looking at scans in Jen's room. Rob is sleeping next to her. She wakes up.

"Good morning. " Derek said

"Did ... you ... patter? Propose? " jen asked

" No, not yet. You'll be the first to know. Well when I do it officer" Derek said Jen smiles. Rob wakes up.

"How's she doing?"

" She's, uh ... okay. She's okay. " derek said as Rob kisses her on her forehead as Ellie comes in.

"How's she doing?" Ellie asked

" There's no change. Is this the M. C. A. Doppler? " Derek asked

" Yeah. Can I get you anything, coffee? " Ellie asked. She could see how tired he seemed

" I'm fine. I'm fine. Thanks. " he said as he looked to her and smiled

Ellie comes out of Jen's room and Alex walks up.

"He still beating himself up? Addison thinks he's still beating himself up. " alex said

" Alex... " Ellie said

" The head of neuro hasn't left his patient's bedside for three days. " alex said as Ellie looks to him

" He's fine. And I thought Addison was leaving. She put her brother on a plane last night. " Ellie said

" Admit it. Her hanging around your guy ... it bugs. "

" It doesn't bug. You bug." Ellie said as Derek comes out of Jen's room, where monitors are beeping.

" Karev. Page Addison. Tell her I need her to stay. " Derek said as he goes back in. Ellie turned to Alex who looked smug

"Okay. It bugs a little. " Ellie said

Derek stood in Jen room with Addison

"The lack of blood flow through the vessel is causing the mini-strokes and aphasia. We can't put surgery off any longer, so what I'm gonna do is a repair that's called an E. C. /I. C. Bypass."

" And ... and that will fix the strokes? She'll be better after this? " rob asked

" I'm hoping it will work, yes. "

" But ... the ... " jen said

" I'm sure they wouldn't operate unless it were safe for the baby, right, Dr. Montgomery? "

" Oh, your ... your blood pressure is still high, but that's why I'll be there, to monitor both you and the baby. Get some rest. We'll see you soon. " Addison said as Derek and Addison walk out.

"Thank you for staying. " derek said

" It's the least I could do for saving Archie." Addison said as Rob follows them.

" I know we said before, about the baby, but if something should happen, if it comes down to a choice, save my wife. We can make another baby. We can't make another her." He said as Derek and Addison hold a look
