𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 {𝗗.𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱}

𝟯𝟬. 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 {𝘀𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀}

Derek is going over administration stuff in a conference room as Ellie appears in the doorway.

"All right, so in the third quarter, the collection rate of medicaid was what percent again? " derek said

"Hey. " ellie said as he smiled

"Would you excuse me one second? " derke said as Derek steps outside with Ellie.

"You have 30 seconds. " he said

"Okay first of all" she said as she kissed him as he kissed her back and smiled

"I miss you and second, so this woman comes in to the E.R. with abdominal pain. She's had it off and on for about six months. " Ellie said

"Mm-Hmm. "

" And a lot of doctors have told her It's either an ulcer or gastritis. " Ellie said

"All right, get to the point. You have 15 seconds. "

" Okay, so it occurs to me that the nausea is probably caused By a positional shift ... C.S.F. "

" Okay. Brain tumor. Got it. "

" Right, but not just any brain tumor. Nothing like the one I had I mean, she's got this huge, beautiful ependymoma. So shadow Shepherd ... "

"Dr. Nelson. "

"Okay, shadow Shepherd is going to do An intraventricular resection ... " Ellie said

"Mm-Hmm. "

"And let me assist, and I may even get to debulk the tumor." Ellie said

" That's it? " he said as she nodded. Derek returns to his meeting.

"Okay. Sorry for the interruption. So where were we? Percentage, third quarter of medicaid ... What was the rate of return?" Derek asked as Ellie walked off

Jim Nelson and Ellie are studying their patient's scans.

"See that? The tur's pressing down on the floor of the fourth ventricle, which is causing the nausea. "

"So you debulk the tumor, and then you move on to the stalk... " Ellie said

"No. You debulk the tumor. "

April suddenly comes and takes the scans.

" Dr. Shepherd has requested these scans. His schedule has freed up. He's decided to do the resection himself. " April said as Ellie holds on to them.

"Oh, no! That's my... I am debulking. It's my tumor. " Ellie said as April snatches the scans.

" It's Dr. Shepherd's tumor now."

"I am going to kill her or him" Ellie said. She was annoyed  at Derek and how he had snatched this from right under her nose
