The Waverider came out of the Temporal Zone and landed just outside the town.
Stein: I'm not the only one whose vision is blurry in their left eye, am I?
Jax: Seeing three of everything, that's normal, right?
Rip: As I mentioned before, the effect of time travel on the human body increases with the length of each jaunt.
Kendra: So where are we?
Rip: Harmony Falls, Oregon. According to Captain Baxter's intel, Savage makes an appearance in this quaint little hamlet.
Jax: What the hell is Savage doing in Pleasantville?
Theta: Living for hundreds of years gets dull, sometimes you get bored and do things just because you can. Why do you think I'm here with you guys?
Jax: Okay, but what is he doing?
Gideon displayed several news articles displaying details of gruesome murders that had taken place in the town.
Rip: Murder, apparently. Several denizens of Harmony Falls have been brutally slain and others have gone missing.
Jax: Kind of like Rory.
Rip: Reports are vague, but it seems like the killer is an expert with knives.
Sara: That sounds like Savage's MO.
Ray: Yeah, but serial killing isn't. Sounds pretty small-time for a guy who's had coffee with Hitler.
Rip: Clearly we have to assume Savage had a large and more nefarious plan. But, since we've jumped back in time, Savage isn't expecting us here.
Kendra: Savage is pretty good at hiding. Even in a small town. So how do you plan to find him?
Rip: By investigating these murders. There has to be a common link between the victims. Starting with the first. A piano teacher was found slain in her home, which is now on the market. Dr. Palmer and Ms. Saunders, I need you two to pose as a couple and move in. Dr. Matt Miller was found murdered on the grounds of the asylum where he worked. The sanatorium is in need of a replacement. Professor Stein, I trust you can arrange that. Find a way to take Ms. Lance with you. Meanwhile, Jefferson is the perfect age to discern the facts behind the disappearance of three teenagers who went missing a week before these murders began.
Snart: So Raymond and Kendra are shacking up, Sara's Nurse Ratchet and Jax's the new kid in town. Where does that leave me?
Rip: With myself and Theta. Perhaps the local police have some clues to help us.

Snart, Rip, and Theta entered the police station in suits and ties. Rip began speaking with an American accent.
Rip: We're looking for the sheriff.
Bud: Well, you've found him. Bud Ellison. How can I help you, folks?
Rip and Snart showed fake FBI badges while Theta flashed his psychic paper.
Rip: Special Agent Rip Hunter. This is my partner Leonard and our Scotland Yard attaché, Inspector John Smith. We are here to investigate the serial murders which have plagued this sleepy old town of yours.
