Musashi Shrine

A group gathered around an area by some trees, chatting and sharing laughter. However, they couldn't help but feel an empty sense in their guts as night fell upon them.

"Guess it can't be helped." Draken said with a small, sad smiled.

Everyone glanced at two different spots in their circle, an empty space there with no one to fill it. Much to their dismay, Y/n nor Mikey showed up.

"Let's open it already." Draken sighed.

"It's hard to accept, but we haven't heard a peep for 10 years. You can forget about today." Peh said.

"Even if we open it now, they'll still see what's in it." Pah reasoned.

"So, what'd you put in? You remember, Taka-chan?" Hakkai asked, glancing at the man beside him.

"Not at all." Mitsuya replied.

Chifuyu grabbed onto the lid of the container and pulled it off, rummaging through the items before peeking up as he spotted something familiar.

"Woah! Talk about nostalgia!" Chifuyu exclaimed, holding up a book.

"Huh? An aeroplane magazine?" Takemichi questioned.

"Yup! I used to dream of being a pilot back then." Chifuyu smiled as he flipped through a few pages, eye lingering on the photos.

"Heh! Just like a kid's dream!" Hakkai grinned in a teasing manner.

"Eh?! You...go on then! Show us your amazing dream!" Chifuyu yelled, clearly irked.

"Hah! You're in for a surprise." Hakkai grinned as he dug through the items.

But then, his smile slowly fell and he seemed a bit flustered.

"I forgot mine actually..." He admitted.

Then, Hakkai couldn't help but freeze, feeling as if his soul left his body. Raising his hand, he revealed a moon rock and flipped opened the note attached to it.

Shiba Hakkai

12 years later...
Did you make it to space?
Is there air up there?
I'm looking forward to finding out!

"No way..." Chifuyu muttered. "That's even more of a kid's dream..."

"Space...?" Hakkai muttered.

"You have some balls to have written that since you've got nothing to show for it." Mitsuya grinned.

"WELL, WHAT ABOUT YOU, TAKA-CHAN?! LET'S SEE YOUR DARK PAST!" Hakkai exclaimed as his face reddened.

Mitsuya gave a lopsided smile and kneeled toward the container, pulling out a stuffed rabbit.

"This." Mitsuya said.

"A plush?! No way! Were you the type who couldn't sleep without a stuffed animal?!" Hakkai gasped.

"Moron." Mitsuya scoffed with a roll of his eyes.

His stare shifted to the stuffed rabbit and he couldn't help but smile, fingers caressing the soft material.

"This really is nostalgic though..." He said before grabbing his folded note.

"To me in the future, don't forget your motivation." Since I was poor, I was never able to get toys for Mana and Luna. This is the first stuffed animal I made for them myself." Mitsuya explained.
