Chapter 13

"Did you miss me, my babies?!" She excitedly run towards the ducks and ducklings.

Natawa si Max sa reaksyon niya.

"Kahapon lang kayo nagkita oi."

Max guided her to sit on a chair. May dala itong pambabaeng tsinelas. He removed her heels carefully at saka sinuotan siya ng slippers.

"But I still miss them. I wish I could be with them everyday." She said and stood up.

"Pwede mo naman dalhin ang panganay natin." Max said.

"I'll ask permission kay Infantes muna. But I would love to!" Chanel said excitedly.

Muli siyang lumapit sa mga bibe. Si Max naman ay kumuha ng feeds para pakainin ang mga ito. Nakabihis na ito dahil nabasa talaga ang damit nito kanina.

"Max, why are you so hardworking?" Chanel suddenly asked while still looking at the ducks.

"Kailangan para mabuhay."

"But you're like working extra hard." She said and glance at him.

Max give him a small smile before responding. "Hindi kasi sapat na sakto lang ang pera na may pangkain kami tatlong beses sa isang araw. Syempre, nangarap din akong yumaman para mabuhay ng komportable ang mapapangasawa ko." Max smirked at her.

"You're really working hard for your future wife not for yourself?" She asked in disbelief.

Max shrugged at her and look at the ducks.

"Kaya kong mabuhay sa hirap kung ako lang pero darating ang panahon na magkakapamilya ako at ayaw kong mag-settle sila sa buhay na okay lang. Bilang padre de pamilya nakakalungkot kung hindi mo nabibigay ang gusto ng asawa't anak mo. At bago 'yon, gusto ko rin maging komportable si Mama sa buhay, para hindi niya maisip na pabigat ako at bastardo lang sa buhay niya." Max said.

Max really care and love his mother but she can saw pain on his eyes as if he's also having a tough relationship with his mother. Dahil ba hindi pinanagutan ng father ni Max ang mother nito?

She hugged Max and caress his back. She wanted to comfort him, make him feel that she's just here. Max hugged her back. His face buried on the hollow of her neck. She blushed hard. She's no kid. She's a healthy adult. And by that, she's really attracted to Max. And feeling Max' breath on her neck is really really dangerous.

"Alam mo bang pakiramdam ko pa rin nananaginip ako tuwing kasama kita?" Max whispered.

Her hugged tightened. Her heart went wild on his words. How can this man that make her feel that way?

"Hmm, really?"

"Oo. Kaya pwede mo bang ipadama sa akin na totoong kasama kita?" He asked.

She gulped. Are they going to kiss? Or touch each other?

Sa isiping iyon ay nag-init ang pisngi niya. And her body also reacted to her dirty thoughts!

"W-what do you mean?"

Mula sa pagkakabaon ay umangat ang mukha nito para titigan siya.

"Pwede ba kitang ligawan para maging akin ka?"

Hilaw siyang natawa at agad na inalis ang iniisip niya kanina. Why is she disappointed tho?

"Y-yes. Yes, you can."

Kumunot ang noo nito at bumigat ang titig sa kanya na para bang inaalam nito ang iniisip niya. She gulped and look away. Why is he looking at her like that? Can he read minds? Oh, no.
