Hiking trip

We all started hiking up the steep mountain, Quartz being ahead of us all and Aqua being right behind him. Jade was all the way at the bottom still trying to figure out how not to ruin her shoes. Ruby and I were just a little behind Quartz and Aqua because all we wanted was to have a fun hiking trip and take our time. "You know it would have been much more fun to practice our powers at the campfire, you know so we could get such a well deserved sleep" Jade complained. "The first thing you have said that I agree with, Quartz why do we have to hike up this whole mountain just to practice our powers" Aqua asked. "Well I thought it would be nice to get away from the camp for a while, also no one goes up this mountain so we won't be disturbed." Quartz replied. Jade rolled her eyes, and looked around to make sure no one was watching. She then sprouted a massive vine from the ground carrying her flawlessly to the top. "Look the faster we get there the longer we can practice our powers." Aqua said making a massive wave of water carry her to the top. Quartz rolled his eyes too and with a swirl of wind was at the top. Ruby who was still with me asked "Can you get up" I looked her in the eyes. "Yeah" I said getting off the mountain and floating beside her. Ruby blasted herself up to the top and I gracefully landed at the top.  The mountain was freezing cold I saw Ruby begin to look worried. "Alright let's demonstrate our powers, see I set up an order alphabetical order." Quartz said looking at me. I immediately knew I was first. I stood up heading in front of Quartz. "Okay what should I do?" I asked. "Anything you can" Quartz replied. "Well I can't really do my powers on command, they usually happen when I feel a strong emotion." I said. Quartz looked disappointed. "Well I mean I could try" I said closing my eyes. I felt a surge of energy powering through me. I felt my consciousness split away from me. I looked back to see my body still standing with their eyes closed. Quartz looked stunned. After a few minutes I floated back inside my body. "Astral projection, good to know." Quartz said scribbling a few things. "What's Astral Projection?" Jade asked. "It's the ability to go out of your body" Quartz replied instantly. "You're such a nerd" Jade laughed. "Is there anything else we need to know about your powers." Quartz asked me. "Oh um I kinda lose control of my body every time i'm angry does that help?" I asked. "So when we were fighting Jade you weren't the one controlling your body?" Quartz assumed. "Correct" I replied. "Well we're going to have to test that." Quartz stated. My eyes grew wider. "Quartz that's a horrible idea I could seriously hurt someone" I angrily said as why would he even suggest such a dumb idea. "Come on Amy, Just a little test" Quartz pleaded. "No way" Jade answered for me. "Well I mean what's the worst that can happen" Quartz asked. "I kill all of you" I answered crossing my arms and looking at Quartz. "Please Amy we need to know your abilities" Quartz begged.  I rolled my eyes and said "Fine Quartz, but if you die it is not my fault." Quartz smiled. "So what's going to happen is i'm going to make Amethyst angry, and hope for the best." Quartz said walking towards me. I saw Quartz begin to conjure up a storm of wind and directed it towards me. I closed my eyes tightly scared to open them. I heard voices swirl around me saying things like "End him" or "Hurt him" or "He thinks you're evil prove him right." The aching sensation moving through my body. I had lost control, I opened my eyes to see Quartz backing up. "What's wrong, scared?" I grinned. I felt power seeping through my veins. I conjured a big ball of energy and blasted it at Quartz. "Amy stop" Quartz yelled hurt. "It's Amethyst to you" I said using telekinesis to lift him off the ground choking him. "Amy stop please" Ruby cried. I looked over at Ruby. "Amethyst please stop you're hurting him" Aqua yelled. I dropped to the ground, Quartz also falling with me.  "Probably not the best idea" Quartz said gasping for air. "What did I tell you Quartz you could've died" Jade said patting him on the back. I was still on the ground, I had little memory of what happened but one memory haunted me. Me hurting Quartz. "I hope we now learned that we should never test that again" Ruby said smugly. "I certainly did" Quartz said as he was getting up. "Amethyst are you okay" Quartz asked me. But I could not hear him, I could not hear anyone. I sat up to find myself back in the dark tiny room where the old man was still there. "Have you finally learned what you have to do?" He asked. "I don't want to I can't hurt them" I protested. "You don't have a choice." The old man laughed. I blinked and I was back with the other stones. "What happened to you Amy?" Ruby asked while giving me some water. "I'm not sure" I answered. After that things between me and Quartz were quiet, he didn't call me Amy for the rest of the trip. "Guys I think we'd better get down the mountain, it's almost night time" Aqua told us. All of us safely got down the mountain and headed back to the camp. "Hey do you want to roast marshmallows with us?" Quartz asked still a little quiet. "No i'm going to head back to my tent" I said coldly. I went inside the tent and just laid down with my thoughts. After an hour I heard someone entering my tent. "Hey Ruby" I said without looking up. And all of a sudden I was grabbed and taken somewhere.
