Y/N'S POV:

Flashes of last night made their way to my brain, on a delightful continuous loop. I couldn't help but grin as I made my way to the breakfast table. It's not every day you get to see a different, friendlier side to your hot boss. Not that I was complaining, last night was certainly entertaining.

"How was your sleep last night?" Clarissa asked as I sat down next to her.

"Much better. Thank you. How was yours?"

"It wasn't as good as I hoped. I couldn't fall asleep for ages" Oh no.

"What was troubling you?" I enquired, normally she fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow. It was very rare for Clarissa to be so worried that she couldn't sleep. Something awful must have happened.

"Sadie. Has become severely ill and I worry for her health"

"Oh no. That's awful." Yes, the potion worked! And a lot quicker than I anticipated it would! "What's wrong with her?" I asked sympathetically. I knew she was going to be ill but I hadn't exactly looked at what would happen to Sadie once she drank it. I only read the bit that said she wouldn't die.

"That's the thing the illness she has got can only be caused by magic. You wouldn't know anything about this would you?"

"Me?" I acted shocked "No, I have nothing to do with this. Maybe it was one of the Nevers"

Perfect, get her to think it was someone else. That way she can still trust me and won't think I'd ever do something like that.

Clarissa looked around at the students and staff who were all enjoying their breakfasts relatively peacefully for once. I sipped my coffee contently, my eyes following where Clarissa's gaze was looking.

"Could it have been Lady Lesso?" She questioned, looking around "She is late to breakfast and that never happens"

"I doubt it was her" Fuck, why did I say that?!

"Why?"

"Well, Sadie hasn't done anything to aggravate her. Honestly, if Lady Lesso was going to take it out on anyone it would be me" I explained playing it off like a pro. There is no way it could have been Lesso, I knew what she had been up to last night and also it was me who did it. But I couldn't have Clarissa believing it was Lesso, that would make her even more stressed!

"Good point." She replied looking around again "Where has she gotten to though?"

"Not a clue" I was slightly concerned at the lack of Lesso's presence at breakfast. She didn't even do the school wake-up this morning. I did it, which was fun, but she yells a lot better than I do. Maybe she wanted a lie in. I don't blame her if she did.

A wolf approached us and said "The headmaster would like to see you both in his tower right now"

We looked at each other confused. Why would the headmaster need to see us? Nothing outrageous had happened. We hurried out of the school for good and made our way up the many stairs to the headmaster. I, once again out of breath, let Clarissa knock on the door. We walked in and saw the headmaster looking down at the storian, with an eyebrow raised in amusement at whatever he was reading.

"Make yourselves comfortable we're still waiting for one more to arrive" He smiled, gesturing to the chairs. We sat down and waited in silence. Now and then Clarissa would look over at me and give me a reassuring smile which I reciprocated back. But I couldn't stop looking at the headmaster's reactions to whatever he was reading. There must be a good story in progress, probably one of the ex-students. A lot of people in my year got their own story, not me though.

Five long minutes later, the door burst open.

"I'm glad you could finally make it, Lady Lesso," The Headmaster said, slowly turning away from the storian to finally acknowledge us.

I looked up at her and she was wearing her normal attire but without the long coat. And the look she gave me! It made my knees instantly weak, I was so glad that I was sitting down, or I would've fallen over.

"Although, I would prefer it if your evening drinking habits didn't disrupt your work life" He added, looking at the slightly rough face of a hungover woman.

"It won't. And even if it did, I have an excellent assistant who could help me out" She confidently stated, briefly glancing towards me. Did she just compliment and smile at me!? That booze must still be affecting her if she's still being nice to me.

"I'm glad that you think so highly of her but that is actually why I called everyone here" He declared. Everyone's here to talk about me? Oh shit. Does he know what I did to Sadie? Or what I am in the process of doing?

"As Professor Dovey is aware of. Sadie has become violently ill at the hands of unknown magic. As a result, she is unable to be Professor Dovey's assistant. Since Y/N has been doing so well, she will become both of your assistants and spend half her time at the school for good and the other at the school for evil."

I sighed in relief. I hadn't been caught and phase two of my plan was about to start and the headmaster had unknowingly helped me.

"No. That won't be possible" Lady Lesso announced, swirling her cane around her fingers.

"Why ever not?" Clarissa asked, standing up "She knows everything there is to my school and would fit in perfectly there."

"Because I need her more. The students are starting their exams today and there will be way more marking than before." Lesso replied.

"I'm sure you can handle a few papers by yourself, Lesso" She smiled, with a threatening look I had never seen on her before.

"Why do you need her anyway?" Lesso said, scowling at her, "It's not like the Evers actually learn anything from you"

"They learn plenty I'll have you know!" Clarissa snapped, before calming herself and stated, "I believe Y/N showed you a small portion of it yesterday" A wicked grin appeared on her face. Lesso's face reddened, like she was going to explode, and turned to glare at me.

"Ladies. Ladies!" The headmaster interrupted looking disapprovingly at the two Deans "You can either share an assistant or she can be fired. It is up to you"

I looked at him shocked. Would he really fire me just because those two argued over me?

Lady Lesso and Clarissa looked at each other reluctantly and then said "Okay. We will share"

"Fabulous. Y/N you will be at the school for evil from Thursday to Sunday and at the good school from Sunday to Wednesday. Now you two can go." He declared before turning to me and said "Y/N stay here."

Lesso and Clarissa both looked at me, confused as to why the headmaster needed me to stay, and to be honest, I was just as confused. They reluctantly left the room bickering between themselves about who knows what.

"I'm going to need a reversal potion for Sadie" He casually said, returning to the pages the storian was currently writing. He knew what I'd done.

"I'll get on it as soon as I'm finished today," I said standing up, ready to leave.

"Keep up the fantastic work. Soon the schools will be united in the way they were meant to be"

"Will Sadie return to her role once she is back to normal?"

"Only if you fail to do your job" He replied "You may go now"

And with that, I fled the room and the tower as quickly as I could.

Only to be met by Lady Lesso and Professor Dovey, both of whom seemed pissed off and full of questions for me.
