Chapter 6
Pervert/Savior

"God, I hate this!" I stomped my feet in order for the gum to come off from under my converse. "I'll look like a total loser because of this, Jiya." I stressfully picked up a leaf on the ground and use it to serve as a barrier of my fingers from the disgusting gum.

"Come on, my boyfriend's waiting inside. I'm going to introduce you to him and his friends." Jiya ignored the fact that I'm facing a stressful situation.

I groaned before nodding my head. I don't really go to parties. I mean, I've been to school proms, and multiple events that require formality but never to parties that most college students go. I know I'm nearly graduating and others might be wondering how I haven't been into one.

Jiya offered to lend me some of her "party" clothes but I refused since I don't like any of it. I ended up wearing my yellow casual dress and a pair of pastel converse. I let Jiya have her way of putting colors to my face though. She said it's an effective way of "attracting men" if I want to date. But I don't want to. Still, she put eyeshadow and some nude lipstick.

Jiya dragged me inside the house because I was skeptic to enter it when I saw the flashing lights and heard the booming sound of a stereo. She pulled me towards a group of guys in the living room, some of them are holding girls. Probably girlfriends.

"Hey! This is my roommate (Y/N) and she's going to join us tonight. It's her first time so be nice." Jiya introduced me with a big smile.

I looked at the guys and I see them either smiling or grinning at me. One of them even look at me from head to toe. I just noticed that out of all the many people here inside this messy house, I'm the only one who's wearing a dress. Heck! This is so stupid!

"Nice to meet you, (Y/N)."

"His name is Josh. That one is Ryan and then Kelsey. That guy is Jin, a close frind of mine." She proceeds to saying their names. "And this is Louie! My boyfriend!" She beamed before kissing him and sucking his lips.

I looked away because why not? It's disgusting! I think being intimate with your partner needs some privacy. Thank goodness I have self-awareness, I don't have to deal with people that make out in public because at every angle of this house I see many people making out!

"Here, this is just a light drink. You know, good for beginners." Jiya handed me a red cup with a liquid inside it.

"Good for church girls." One of the girls muttered.

"Kelsey!"

"What's wrong?" I asked, after she called me it. I mean, I don't consider myself as a passionate devotee but I don't see anything wrong or funny with being one. Is she judgemental?

Jiya smiled and shake her head. "Don't mind her (Y/N). T'was nothing."

I slowly nod before looking at the cup again. It's just a bit so I think it's not that bad? Plus, I've drank some liquor before with my friends from other universities. It's just been a while since we got together. Maybe that's why I feel skeptic about all of this. I drank from the cup and immediately my face scrunched and my tongue curled at the bitterness of the taste. God! What is this?!

"You said it's light?" I asked Jiya.

"Uh-huh. Why?" She innocently asked before drinking her own cup. "This one I'm drinking is a bit heavier. You want to taste?"

"No thanks." I immediately turn around.

I absentmindedly roamed around the house. Some people even bump shoulders against me. Some threw me looks, probably judging my outfit. Not gonna lie it makes me insecure. I think I want to leave. But part of me wants to explore and see the people around and what they do.
