The next day Jeff wakes up at his friend Michel's place, with his writing journal on his face. He sits up and stretches, before getting up to see his friend. He goes downstairs of the apartment. "Morning Mich, thanks for letting me crash last night." Jeff says in his morning voice with his eyes barely open, due to the lack of sleep he has been having recently. "Hey mate, any time, want some breakfast, we can pop down the street, my treat." Michel offers to his best friend.

Jeff is seated at the coffee shop on the corner of the street sipping his cup of coffee. "I'm telling you Michel! I love her!" Jeff complains to his friend. "How? i just don't get you Jeff, you met her last night." Michel justifies, confusion written all over his face. "I just know it's true love Mich." He dozes. "Just like Rebecca, Angie, Rachel and Lucy." Michel mumbles. "No, no, no. I feel it in my blood." It was true, Jeff had been known as a ladies man, always smooth talking the ladies. "I just know it. She is beautiful, she had the most beautiful eyes, and little black bows, I like to say her 'ribbons of coal'. She should be coming on Monday to Sin-e hopefully. I'll make sure to point her out to you. She is perfection" Jeff explains to his best mate. "sure Jeff." Michel rolls his eyes. He is always the main culprit of Jeff's rants, so he has heard the same thing 100 times.

Time skip to Sunday the night before Jeff's performance.˙✧˖°

"Good morning Col!" Mavis runs into the room and plonks on her bed. "Hurry up it's already 11am! sleepy head." Mavis screams in her face. Colette kicked her best friend of and stood up, 'she's right I should probably get up now.' She thought to herself. The two walk down the stairs together and breakfast on the table, that Mavis had recently made for the two of them. "Thanks so much." "So are we going shopping today?" Mavis asks the girl. "And why would we be going shopping?" Colette answers her question, with food in her mouth. Mavis gently chuckles. "Tomorrow night obviously! we got to make sure you look cute!" She replies. "Mavis. I am soon to be married, I'm not going to attempt to try and impress Jeff."

'Why am I here' Colette thinks to herself as they walk through the long, large shopping Centre. Sure enough, Mavis had convinced the young women to shop to "impress Jeff." "Oh! what about this lovely dress! it's on sale, Jeff would love it." Mavis states. "You know I have no clue why you are encouraging this Mavis. I'm serious this is stupid, Dean and I are together and have been for so long." Colette says as she turns around, she stops her sentence when she sees the cute dress. She thinks about how she would look in the dress. 'I wonder what jeff would think if i wore it on Monday' she thought to herself. 'Maybe I do care... but i shouldn't'. Colette grabbed the dress and walked to try it on leaving Mavis laughing at her friend. Sure enough she looked beautiful in the dress, she felt the best she had felt in a long time. "Mavis what if Dean finds out that I was out late again?" she questions, looking for reassurance. "He won't, how would he? he's on a business trip till Wednesday." "Yea i guess your right." she replies. "I just feel like I'm cheating... Am I?" "No! you are doing nothing wrong Col!" She convinces her. "Don't stress C, it'll be fine, I will be right by your hip. Should we get to Sin-e early? maybe we can catch Jeff." Mavis questions. "Let's see how we go." Colette simply replies. She still can't help but feel bad for Dean. She knows he wouldn't like her going and talking to Jeff, hell he wouldn't even like her going out.

"Purple or pink eyeshadow?" Mavis turns around to look at the anxious girl. "C? what's the matter?" Mavis can tell that something is wrong with her. Colette doesn't reply "Colette!" "Hm?" Colette looks up finally. "Sorry Mav, I'm so stressed, I haven't heard from Dean." Mavis rolls her eyes. "Purple or pink?" "definitely pink." she replies biting her nails. "I need a cigarette." Colette stands up and goes out to the window. She thinks to herself about what Dean is doing and how his business trip was going. 'Screw it I'm calling him.' She thinks. Colette stands up from the window and puts out her cigar, she walks over to the phone and dials Dean.
