Colette and Jeff walked hand in hand until they reached further into town, every now and then talking. They reached a record shop. "Would you mind if we have a look inside?" Colette asked suddenly. "Of course Colette." Jeff smiled. Colette led the way into the store. Colette started flicking through a few, Jeff simply admired the girl. 'How beautiful' he thought. "Just what i was looking for Jeff!" Colette exclaimed looking towards the man beside her. Jeff smiled and looked down 'The Smiths' the vinyl read. "Eeee!" She squealed. She yanked his hand and led him towards the counter to pay. The two left the store and sat on the curb outside. Jeff opened a pack of cigars and took one and offered one to Colette, she took one and placed it in between her lips. Jeff grabbed his lighter and moved closer to Colette and lit her cigarette for her while looking into her eyes. Colette simply stared, smirked then turned away, breaking the eye contact blowing smoke the other direction. The most intimate the two had been. Jeff lit his own and smiled. A comfortable silence held while the two sat knees to there chest. Colette then grabbed the paper Jeff had given her at the cafe and looked more into the jobs. "What do you think about this?" Colette leaned over towards Jeff to show what she was pointing at. 'Seventeen Magazine Photographer wanted call this number for more information' "You would be great at that C." Jeff commented with the cigarette still between his lips. Colette smiled and continued to look. Jeff looked down at his watch the time read 12:00pm. "Colette I have a meeting with Michel at 1, I should probably get going it's 12 right now." Jeff informed the girl. "Oh of course sorry I had no idea." Colette stood up grabbing the vinyl and paper in a rush "I'll walk you home." Jeff stated. "It's okay don't worry about it you might be late. It's around a 30 minute walk home." Colette told him. "Don't be silly." Jeff smiled grabbing her hand. The two were around half way home when Jeff spoke up. "Have I ever told you how wonderful you are. Your a beautiful person Colette." He said looking down at the pavement. She was shocked. She felt her ears warm. "Thank you Jeff... It means a lot" she said quietly.

The two reached her steps. "Thank you for today Jeff" Colette looked him in the eyes. "Thank you for today Colette" Jeff copied the girl. The two looked into each other's eyes, before Colette hugs him and holds him for a few moments. "You are the best thing that has happened, in a very long time." Colette says with her head still on his chest. Jeff's hands slide there way around her shoulders. After a while she lets go. "Bye Jeff." She smiles and goes inside. "Bye Colette." He replies.

Later that day ♡

"Hello, I'm calling to see if the photography position is still available?" Colette nervously spoke into the phone. "Yes It is, who do I have?" The woman across the line asked. "Colette Russo." She replied. "Of course, when would you be avaliable to meet?" The lady asked. "Today?" Colette suggested. "Let me see if that will work... Yes it will please come down to the office around 4?" The lady informs. "See you there." Colette kindly states before putting down her landline. Colette smiles, she wants this job to move out of this house finally. She runs up the steps and places her new vinyl on the record player before dancing a little, then she goes into her room to do her hair.

Colette ties her hair up into a messy pony tail, leaving her front face framing out, including her black ribbon. She keeps the same outfit on and adds her black leather jacket due to the change in temperature. She walks down the street before calling down a cab. She gets in and goes to the headquarters. Colette hands the change to the driver before sighing, the nerves set in. She grabs her camera and puts a confident look on her face despite she feels the opposite.

The interview went amazing. They told Colette to start on Monday and she couldn't be happier, she skips home, happy with how the interview went. When she arrived home, she glanced to the car park to see Deans car in the drive way. "Fuck" she mumbled under her breath. Colette walks inside, anger written over her face. Dean was there sitting on the couch waiting for her to arrive. When he hears the door open he quickly jumps up and looks at Colette as she walks in. "Babe I'm so happy to see you." Dean says. "Get the fuck away from me." Colette says confidently. "What? why are you looking so shocked? you cheated on me the time you were away Dean. I'm not a idiot. Now get out of my fucking face." Colette says without making any more eye contact, attempting to walk past him. Dean quickly lifts him hand and strikes Colette across her face. "How dare you speak to me like that?!" Dean raises his voice. Colette falls to the floor and tears form from her eyes and run down her flushed cheeks. She quickly gets up and runs out the door. "Colette! Col, come back here now! we aren't finished! Colette!" Dean yells as Colette sprints on the road. She runs until she can hear her heart beat. She needs Jeff. He is the only one in this stupid town that makes her feel happy. She finally stops walking, by now its dark. She walks off the road and onto the grass, lays down and just cries, wishing Jeff or Mavis was by her side. What was she going to do.

The next day (Friday)

Colette woke-up in the field and walked home. It took her a while to find out were she was but when she did it took around an hour to reach home. She looked in the parking garage to see that Dean had already left for work so she walked up the steps and opened the door and sighed. She knew that today she had to find an apartment, no excuses, she couldn't stay here anymore. Colette walked up stairs and took a long bath, she glanced in the mirror and saw a large bruise of her cheek from where dean had hit her. She got changed and walked down stairs making a coffee, not feeling like going out. She grabbed the paper from her doorstep to see if there was any units or apartments but no luck. Colette got changed and left to venture out to find her new home. While walking she stumbled across one and walked inside. "Excuse me, do you have any avaliable rooms?" Colette asked kindly to the man at the front desk. "Yes mam, when can we get that sorted for you?" He asked. "as soon as possible?"Colette asked sort of ashamed with her head down. "Oh, yes of course follow me." The man led her to see which apartment fit her best. She also decided that she would pay half of the cost now and pay off the other half later, when she starts her job. So Colette puts all her money down to the last cent on the table and thanks the man. She gets a taxi back home and smiles gently. Colette packs her belongings in 2 boxes and leaves the house that was once her home.
