" Ha Abhi ap tension na le, I'll visit you tomorrow."
" Oh okay and you still will accompany me to Rajveer Bhai's wedding functions na? We'll leave for haldi and stay at the hotel till Reception."
" Hmm okay. Take care then I'm at my apartment complex have to go into the lift."
" Bye Miss you."
" Miss you too. " Nandini spoke and cut the call, she walked to her apartment after exiting the lift. As she reached the door, Nandini noticed the door slightly ajar. She clearly remembered locking the door before going to work. So she looked through her bag and held the pepper spray that her boyfriend had gifted her and told to always keep one in the bag along with a taser.
She stepped into the house cautiously, all the drawers were open and everything was thrown down. Cautiously she walked to her room and went towards her safe where she kept her money and other valuable things.
Looking through it all her cash and jwellery was missing but her heart stopped beating when she couldn't find her grandfather's ring, it was family heirloom. Nandini wanted to give it Abhimaan in the future when they got engaged as an engagement ring.
She sobbed, Nandini could careless about the money and all the other jewellery but that specific ring was close to her heart. Her cousin Vikram had gotten their grandmother's ring to give it to his wife and she had gotten her grandfather's ring.
" A..bhimaan? "
" Huh? Noor everything alright."
" No? C..an you come to my place? Right now please."
" Hey Noor are you alright. Wait I'll be there. Are you safe?"
" Y..eah i..think so?"
" Listen to me can you go and sit near your apartment entrance where guards usually sit?"
" Ok." . . . . . After what felt like forever Abhimaan's car pulled into Nandini's apartment complex.
He quickly walked towards her who seemed shaken up.
" Noor what happened?"
" Abhi.. vo Ghar.... My house som.eone I.. broke in." She stuttered, Nandini was trying to speak but she was very afraid.
" Shh calm down, sit here I'll go look okay."
" No! Don't leave I'm afraid." Nandini sobbed as she hugged Abhimaan for protection.
" Ok come we both will go."
Abhimaan walked towards the elevator and Nandini tightly clutched his hand. He wasn ready for what he saw at her apartment.
" All your money is gone?"
" Yeah. I usually keep some at my house to buy things or emergencies. M..y jwellery is also gone and my grandfather's ring."
