Original Fandom: Five Nights at Freddy's
This version of Golden Freddy is based on the popular "GoldenDuo" theory that states that the Fredbear suit is possessed by not only Cassidy (who is speculated to be "The one you should not have killed") but also the "Crying Child" (Evan) who died from the Bite of 83 as a result of a malfunction with the Fredbear robot.
Cassidy:
While it's unknown what her life was like, we do know that somewhere in 1985, William Afton lured her (Along with 4 other kids separately) into the backroom of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza using the Spring Bonnie suit and murdered her. To hide the body, William stuffed her into the Fredbear suit. Later, The Puppet as seen in the "Give Gifts, Give Life" death minigame, gives the children life and allowing them to possess the animatronic endoskeletons, and Cassidy's soul was trapped in the Golden Freddy suit.
Crying Child:
The Crying Child was the second son of William Afton and his unnamed wife. His brother Michael Afton, for some reason or another, tormented his brother with a Foxy mask along with his friends (they had Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica masks respectively). On C.C's birthday, they went to Fredbear's Family Diner. Terrified of the robots, he started to cry, and Michael and his friends took this as an opportunity to prank him and bring him closer to Fredbear, to which he started crying profusely. Michael and his friends take it too far and shoved his head into Fredbear's mouth, the water from the tears of C.C wet the springlocks and this caused Fredbear to clamp down on his head crushing his skull and damaging his brain. Crying Child (in the Hospital) was then thrown in a purgatory-like state where he was trapped in a cycle of "nightmares", forced to try and beat them or repeat the night, after beating all 7 nights and surviving all of the Nightmares, his soul winded up back in the suit where he died, he was now trapped in the Golden Freddy suit and couldn't do anything about it.
Powers:
Golden Freddy is shown to be a ghostly figure more than a physical thing causing it to act more like a ghost (It should be noted that Evan is shown to not be able to control much of what Golden Freddy does for some reason):
Teleportation: Golden Freddy has been shown in the FNAF series to be able to just pop in and out of the office as a form of transportation, in FNAF 2 this is seen more clearly and it shows that Golden Freddy phases in and out of reality to move from place to place.
Shapeshifting: In FNAF 2, it's seen that Golden Freddy is able to transform into a giant head to kill you, how he does this isn't known, but it's assumed that he can alter his form in some way like a ghost.
Telepathy: Golden Freddy is shown to be able to induce nightmares and hallucinations, this is shown when Golden Freddy flashes his signature catchphrase "IT'S ME" and in UCN when Cassidy keeps a dead William Afton alive just to torture him in his mind.
